PhillyDude
I started my job on 12/17 and will be completing 90 days soon which will be 3/18 to be exact. But I notice there has not been any evaluations during this time and wanted to know if this is the norm for a government job. Not sure if it's a such thing as receiving a medical card in the mail if I wasn't going to be around in the month of April

Got it
Was there anything in writing discussion an evaluation period and an performance review at a set time? I don't believe for the Federal government there is any formal eval outside of the yearly review.
Balzac
This question is most accurately answered by your HR dept. usually they have an online resource for FAQ but definitely access to a person for a quick meeting.
pink_sugar
Not sure about that type of job, but for all the jobs I've had evaluations for, it was at the 90 day mark and then I was informed of my 90 days and probation being up.

Well that will be March 17th but haven;t heard anything about it. My supervisor makes references to the future all the time. Like, "Try to contact these companies in 2 or 3 months" And then today she mentioned that a order was placed for my business cards and was introduced in a meeting today as the person to contact for certain issues. So it looks like I will be around in April

I would like to know how they feel about my performance so far. I have received compliments on the reports i provide each week but that's about it.

Isabella82
I guess I am sort of confused by your question. I've worked for the state for 5 years and now with federal for the last 3 years. Every state/federal job I've had you are on a 3 month probation period. It basically means if you screw up they can easily fire you because unlike private sector jobs, after your probation period it's pretty much impossible to get fired from state/federal jobs. If you didn't take the position as a contract position for 3 months then just assume that you're fine. No news is good news.
