getting over my "What IF" fear YIKES

Recommended Posts

I want to thank you for reading this...

I am a single mom of two children. Ive been single for the last few years after a really rough break up from there father, after a very long relationship.

I live with my mother while trying to get back on my feet, I help her somewhat financially and she helps me a ton with the kids while I work.

My brother lives here too and just had his gf move in:sick: Its over crowded and I need my own space again. I know it would be a better and happier enviroment for my kids as well.

Ive never lived on my own, being responsible for all of the bills before.

My major problem is I cant get over my "what if.....I lose my job next month" "what if.....someone gets sick and there are huge med exp" "what if....something happens to the house, my vehicle, anything" and the list goes on forever..

My current living situation it killing me but at the same time it isnt easy being in my head either:(

I cant afford a counsler so any advice would be much appreciated.. Thanks again.

It sounds like you're going through a lot of stress and have anxiety (what if, what if). Are there things that help you when you're stressed? Even if its just a walk, quiet time reading etc? Maybe even joining a group or organization?

I have dealt with anxiety during stressful times (break-ups, work, college etc) and its been something I've learned to manage better. A counselor is a great tool, but if its not an option because of finances, do you have friends you can talk to? Or a pastor/other mentor?

Take a deep breath, it'll be ok. Worrying often makes you think the worst, as little of a possibility as it may be.
