30 Days of NO CONTACT

Yes, I miss him - alot, but the good thing is I miss him less as time passes.

No, I don't want to be with him. It would be plain torture - walking on pins and needles hoping he doesn't have a change of heart again.

I do believe that if we ever cross paths again - and I mean a few years down the road - I might be willing to give things a chance. The likelihood of that happening is probably pretty slim though.

Although I'm not at the point where I can honestly say that I don't care if he's with someone else, I do know I'm on the way to being there......hopefully sooner than later.

Thank you for sharing. I'm on day 18 of NC and yesterday for the first time felt a glimmer of what you're describing....which is my goal! Good luck and keep on going strong!!:bunny:

Keep up the NC. Do not search for your ex on the internet either. Block all phones calls, texts, emails, smoke signals, telepathy, anything else I didn't cover. If you have mutual friends, hang with them *less* but don't completely cut them out of your life (unless they need to be removed for obvious reasons). Go to new events and start making new friends. It's hard to do, trust me I was there, but try to get yourself out and stay busy.

Most of the time you will run into your ex again or you will get a call from them at some point, usually when a rebound relationship ends or they are at a low point. Whatever you do, DONT give in to impulse contact from an ex. If they truly want you back they'd show you that over several months of contact, not some random 1-2 week series of phone calls (like my ex did - it was pathetic. In the end I told her I didn't trust her anymore and told her to move on and she did).
