Do you really believe everybody needs a partner to be happy and satisfied?

I thought so, but not anymore, I used to get depressed seeing other people together when I was alone, i mean it's nice to have someone to be with, share the bills and the bed...etc, but happiness is all in your mind.

Nope - I have a lot of friends (of all ages) who are quite content not being in relationships.

 

My oldest single friend is in his mid-60s. We dated briefly and while there was mutual attraction, he admitted that he was quite set in his bachelor ways and liked his single life.

Yes and no. At times in life I have been perfectly happy single and other times I have been sad/depressed. I don't think you can force yourself to be happy if you are lacking a relationship and want it.
