And this one too. :)

This reminds me of you Beth. :love:

Thanks Amaysngrace. :):love:

That's an awesome song! I really need to pray this song; thanks for sharing!!!:bunny:

I've accidentally hurt people's feelings and made them think I didn't care by what I've said/written and not said/written. :(

I have a long way to go in being made a channel of God's peace. If anyone I accidentally hurt by my words/lack of words is reading this, I'm sorry. It was not my intention to hurt you.

I don't see you as the type to hurt people at all. You are always so kind and gentle. I admire that about you because mostly everyone has it in them to be kind but you go out of your way to be especially caring.

I bet there are some people you cross paths with everyday who feel Jesus' presence through you.

In fact I am sure of it because I am one of those people. :love:

Some of the classics are so incredible!

I especially like the lyrics to

by Isaac Watts:

When I survey the wondrous cross

on which the Prince of Glory died;

my richest gain I count but loss,

and pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,

save in the death of Christ, my God;

all the vain things that charm me most,

I sacrifice them to his blood.

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,

sorrow and love flow mingled down.

Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,

or thorns compose so rich a crown.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,

that were an offering far too small;

love so amazing, so divine,

demands my soul, my life, my all.

Below is a song that is so inspiring and shows how important Moms are to the growth (physically, spiritually, and emotionally) of their children and all who are touched by their nurturing hearts!!! :bunny:

"A Mother's Prayer"

Thanks for showing the Love of Jesus!!!

I thank God for my wonderful Mom (She is the lovely brunette in the photo. I'm the redhead and my sis (this was before 2 more wonderful sisters were born) is my best friend growing up. <3

I was just thinking about this thread! haha

Never heard of Doyle Dykes. Love the acoustic guitar.

Here's my contribution. It's a classic 80s rock :D

He is divinely talented!! :love: I'm glad he uses his gift for a worthwhile purpose. :)

That's so great, in so many ways! (especially loved the keyboard people used to wear over their shoulders! :D)

Haha, I love that! I heard it on the show House and always wondered who did it. I never saw Shrek.

There is another hauntingly beautiful piano solo that I once heard on Northern Exposure that I've never been able to find.

I love the piano and played for many years. Hopefully it isn't a comment on my personality that the song I play the most was Elton's Funeral for a Friend. :laugh: Honestly FFAF wasn't a tough song, I just liked it and most of Elton's stuff, but the transition into Love Lies Bleeding was a killer!!! That was definitely a worthy challenge for me.

FFAF is one of the few songs that I can still play from memory.

Most excellent! I was never a Twin Peaks watcher but that is a beautiful and soulful song.

How about some Cat?

Robert, did you still play piano?

I like the line from Shawshank Redemption where Morgan Freeman said he used to play the mean harmonica as a kid, but he stopped because it "doesn't make much sense in these walls" (ie, prison). Tim Robbins said, "In here is where it makes the MOST sense." This is true with all of us. We tend to think adults can't do this stuff because we aren't kids anymore and we live in the real world. But now is when it makes the MOST sense.

its a shame you dont still play robert,that is, i am assuming you dont ....

elton john certainly has genius in his fingers......

i love cat stevens and i wasnt a fan of twin peaks either......but that piece of music....yep a big fan....

often what i remember most about tv movies...is the score......and the soundtrack.......dialogue and actors fade away ...music remains however fresh and relevant...sad songs have their place and often the sadness is what is haunting ....you can feel it...even without lyrics....fro whatever reason that funeral song remained with you in your memory...has a reason...maybe its a release...a memory of more untroubled times....a place in time you were truly happy....hugs........deb
