Time to walk for good

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I haven't seen xMM for over two years. I am on a political blog, and whenever I get on, he appears. He wrote a couple of weeks ago, saying he was in the process of seeing a lawyer. I will be travelling next week to see two of my kids on the West Coast and a man I met there in Spokane. I went out last summer, and we are a really good match except for the distance.

xMM knows I am travelling, and wanted me to meet him in either Atlanta or Philadelphia. I said no, that I would not be around him until he is divorced.

He got seriously angry and abusive with me, told me he was done etc. I told him I was fine with that. He kept going on about me and other men, I finally told him I had found someone else. I got a very abusive e-mail this morning calling me a Pig among other things. I think this guy has severe issues with women. How in the world could someone fault me for moving on with my life? I suppose he is hurt and angry that I won't comply, that I have moved to a healthier place in my head and my heart.

I am furiously angry and furiously hurt right now. For a MM to sit in judgement of me is absolutely ridiculous. I'm ashamed of even having any contact with him, will stay off the blog etc. I don't think it's unusual for a single woman to be dating and moving ahead, if that involves sex, so be it.

I'm not sure why the reaction from him ...

Clearly he's angry BECAUSE you've moved on...and he hasn't.

His problem...not yours.

Being called names by someone who treats you like this is no insult to you...indeed, you should be glad. It gives you even more reason to remove him from your life.

This should seriously be one easy man to get out of your life. He doesn't live anywhere around you, AND you haven't talked in 2 whole years. There are plenty of fish in the sea. I don't know how he could still affect you the same way after all this time.

Guess I thought we could be friends and he would actually be happy for me.

I also guess, he is a rather unstable individual. Maybe it's the stress of his marriage ending, I don't know. Or he needs a place to land now, and I've moved on, and he's angry. I won't be in any contact with him now. On the other side ... is a pretty good place to be now.

Wow...awesome! Good for you! Don't let him bring you down because you've grown and he's stuck. That's his problem not yours. You have every right to be angry about being treated like that. Keep moving forward...you've done nothing wrong what so ever! You're living your life and that is the way it should be.

Kuddos! :)

Thanks Spice, it's a long journey and one I would ever in my life repeat. If I could offer any advice to anyone here, it would be you need to deal with your own stuff, do good things, exercise, make yourself better, and surround yourself with the positive people in your life. Anybody who truly cares about you, will be happy with your happiness, and your successes.

Perhaps they are expecting us to cling to them...to still want them, show the wives how desperate/pathetic/needy we are etc. as proof to them that somehow it was "our" fault and we "seduced" them.

Yeah right...
