But I am no where near her skin tone, nor do I have green eyes or any mixed features. Considering our conversation the other day Miss Jones. I would like it to be clear that my attraction was not for novelty or variety. It was for pure appeciation of attraction we held for each other. We, as beings, are all out of Africa--the cradle of the human being. And I hold no racial prejudice for any persons who are out of Africa a hundred thousand years, more or less, after my ancestors moved on to higher latitudes. It is just a matter of considence no different than any other mixture of ethnicities which implies not scale of primitiveness. I can tell you that when when my dark black female lover was sitting on my lap as the ocean tides came in at dusk during our embrace on the beach soaking our white and black legs witht he same cold ocen water that has touched a billion others, I was as happy as any man has ever been and there was absolutely nothing of "race" that differentiated her from me. I was more privileged than most lonely men of any race. My lover Gwen, and I were every bit what a human male and female would ever be at love. There were no conditions. It was all in the moment alone on Rockaway beach in Queens NY in 1981 that she and I were one without condition in love. You can criticize and crucify us for our faults after the fact, but for those moments, nothing but utter joy existed for us. Unfortunately, there is a lot of stereotyping and racism in white culture. I prefer to distance myself from that. If you only knew what most white men think and say about white women. Your skin color would be the least of your concerns! The media and hollywood work hard to make the masses believe what is and is not attractive. The majority of people, both men and women, buy into it that fallacy. In my life I have been very attracted to women of dark to light skin, regardless of race. Beauty/Attraction is more than skin color, weight, and shape. Light skinned people of color, have historically, fit in better to white society. White society is on the fast track to being the minority in this country. If you are being turned down by white guys because you are to dark... That guy is a LOSER. and you are better off. Not that I wish to cosign the attitudes of the wealthy of that era but give you a hearty hurrah for the perspective that human beings of both genders regardless of this thing we call "race" have absolutely nothing to feel inferior about and much to feel proud about for being icons of of beauty and lust for the nature their parents have passed on to them. So that's a big part of it. Interracial dating and marriages are still taboo in parts of the country, particularly white-black relationships. Much more than say white-Asian, white-Hispanic relationships. You just have to be open minded and confident and you will eventually find a guy who is the same. I am not sure what you mean by African features though. Attractive features are attractive in any race. A symmetrical face is considered attractive whether the woman is African, White or Asian. But for what it's worth, me and a lot my guy friends like a lot of dark-skinned women. So in my opinion, you don't have to "give up" on white guys. May I ask what kind of bad experience did you have to start thinking about this? And as some have said, I think it's important to be happy with yourself and your looks, so if there's even a small chance that there are some self-esteem issues (I know I have some...), think about addressing them... Lastly, could you perhaps post a link or a picture of a woman with West African features?
