I think he's lying?

Recommended Posts

Alright, so, we met each other on okcupid.com. When we started seeing each other officially, we both took our accounts off. I deleted mine since I was done for now, and he de activated his. Since I thought I had such luck on there, I helped my friend set up an account. It turns out he reactivated it.... He was one of her highest matches. He messaged her saying, "sry something was buggy about my account :/." It was reactivating at the time, I guess. I texted him and told him how I was hurt and confused. How he should have told me if he wanted to see other people. He replied and I quote, "Wat r u talking about? Wen i was on the computer at 3 am i got an email from them and accidentally clicked it and my firefox settings save my passwords and it auto logged me in... I exited it and went to bed and forgot about it... If i wanted to see other pple id tell u"

I told him it said he was last on 10pm last night and he gave me his word he wasn't. What should I do? Is this even possible? Maybe I'm just posting this because I want to believe him...Thank you for reading!

He is lying. Stop seeing him.

Please dont fall for this. It amazes me the excuses women will buy for blatantly obvious shady behavior.

Please find someone who is not only honest, but can actually spell and/or isn't lazy when it comes to texting. Ugh.

P.S. - He's gaslighting you. He's taking everything you say and turning it against you and making you doubt yourself. Don't fall for it.

Yeah he fed you a bunch of BS. Next thing you know he'll "accidentally" have sex with a bunch of girls while he's dating you.

He sounds shady to me. Why does he even have a profile online? He may have logged in accidently, but a hidden profile stays hidden or an account stays deleted unless the person reactivates it.

I went through a similar situation where a boyfriend pretended that he did not know that his profile was still up. He was slow to take it down when I asked him to. His defense was that he was not using the account...not checking his mail etc., which was true. I was in denial...if he has a profile, it is an advertisement saying that he is looking for someone else!! How disrespectful to you and your relationship! It is also dishonest at best. It invites flirts from women in the "real world" who see the profile even if the person does not actively use the dating site. Personally, I see it as a big red flag.

Thanks. And thank you all of you. I have left him. He claimed I was over reacting but I clearly wasn't. He was talking to other girls on there when he claimed he never talked to anybody and was just looking for "penpals". He clearly put on his profile, "Only message me if you're looking for a serious relationship." He also told them that he is not seeing anybody when we supposedly were. He never changed his status to "seeing someone" and kept it on "single." I feel so stupid and betrayed. Thank you for your time.
