ex suddenly says he will bring me to meet his mum, after that he ignored me.why??

hey guys...i really thought i was finally done with my ex but he suddenly dropped this bomb on me and gone into hiding or something...

 

ours was a interracial interreligious relationship and we've broken up for more than a yr already and he has been seeing someone for abt the same amount of time. Initially I wanted to be friends so we kept in contact but it was difficult for me as i had feelings for him still and every now and then he reveals he still has feelings for me so i told him im not interested in a frienship and not to contact me anymore. but he continued to do so. so i finally responded and asked him what is it that he wanted because I do not want to be friends only, so it's either me or her. and i told him to respond by monday night or else im walking away all the same.in the end he just sms me good night and i din press for an ans and the next day he sms me gd morning again.i just ignored him and tue no news fr him so i thought that was how it was gg to be and i accepted it.then suddenly wed night he sent me a msg to tell me that he was going to bring me to meet his mum one of these days and 30 min later another msg to say he was not joking and he called me.but i din check my mobile til much later so i din respond anything.i was surprised and dunno if he meant wat he said or if he wld regret saying it.i was afraid to ask more and then not get any replies and get hurt again.so no news fr him on thur and fri morning he called me but i missed the call again.so i thought if he did not mean what he said or if he regretted what he said he wld not have contacted me again so finally fri afternoon i asked him what did he mean by bringing me to meet his mum. i dun even dare to assume it meant anything tho it was something big because i never met his family when we were together.

 

well guess what...he din respond.until today which is sunday afternoon.did i do the wrong thing, should i have not taken his words seriously?and ive msged him many times for a reply not because im desperate for him but it irritates me that when i ask somehting and i dun get an answer.it just bugs me.maybe he regretted what he said and he feels ashamed and cannot face me, but to leave me hanging like this, shouldnt he feel more ashamed?i dunno if he is still with his gf. i just want to know what the hell is gg on?even if he regrets what he said just tell me and ill just carry on my life without him.

 

i dunno what should i do now.should i just wait patiently for him to respond?or should i just forget it?this is the first time he has said anything that sounds like he may want to give it another shot.and it really bugs me that i asked something and he just ignored after saying something like dat to me.pls help.....thanks a lot...

My guess, because I really can't know whats going on in his head, was he was just saying that to keep you around. If he planned on taking you he would.

forget it shellen. If one thing i learned is that they love to know that they can have us. I've been playing this game on and off for a while. And today i call it quits. I told my ex that i would meet her today. She said that she couldn't cuz blah blah blah. So i told her you know what this is the last time i'm speaking to you and hung up. **** them and their childish ways. Ur ex is ****ing immature just as much as mine. They will walk on us untill we stop letting ourselves. I thought i was in love with my ex but now i saw her true colors. You should now see his true colors. If they cared they would have done something to show they did. They just said around and dangle us llike a piece of string.

Why are you allowing this guy to manipulate you in this way? You do as you please however I feel you need to continue to move on and look forward to a healthy relationship with a healthy man.

 

You can only do this if you take care of your own issues, and you do have them. Why? because you allowing this to still go on after he already showed you his true character.

he just called me his wife the other day and we started msging each other quite a bit...haven done that in a while...

but well ya...i know that's not i want and msging him will not get me what i want...so i ended it..

i asked him if he was still with his gf, he wld not ans....but it's pretty obvious that means a yes...

he jus says he wants to be with me...but i dun see any action...

 

yea...its really sickening...

i'm leaving the country for 18 mths in abt a month's time...

he does not know and im not planning on tell him..

so good riddance lol...
