Relationships and compounding depression?

Recommended Posts

Does each relationship that ends (and the depression that goes with it), change the brain chemistry of a person, making them more vunerable to depression later in life? In other words, if someone has had one divorce vs. someone who has had 3 divorces, is there brain chemistry different? Thanks for any info.

May just be a forum but it is a forum with hundreds of members. No better place to ask a question with no solid answer.

A lot of it comes down to the mindset of the person and past experiences as well as how each break up effected them. Some my resort to depression because they may not have gotten through it the first time they came down with it. Others may be stronger because of the previous experience, they may be more accustomed to it and more capable of dealing with the emotional trauma of the situation.
