YellowLioness Posted September 13, 2004 Share Posted September 13, 2004 Well, I got engaged this weekend! My fiance and I got rings tattooed on, for those of you who don't know. It felt like I was being stung by this tiny bee! I have my ankle done, but the pain I felt doing that was NOTHING compared to what it felt getting the inside of my finger done. OMG. My fiance took it worse then I did. I remained stone faced and he winced and his eyes watered. I'm tough! Jk! Anyway, W woke me up on Sat. after he got off work, gave me a white rose, and proposed. I was like, "Hell no, skank!" No, I didn't say that. I said, "Yes! Of course!" Then, we made love and got our tattoos made! They're gorgeous! They're Celtic knots, colored gold with orange and white highlights. The border is black to make the color stand out more. The work is excellent, and we're thrilled with them. It's so nice being engaged. There is this serene quality to being engaged (I just like typing it!) that dating didn't have. The attitude is like, "We'll be together forever, everyone knows it, so let's enjoy the heck out of it!" The "real" ring is coming later, as we already have it picked out. Anyway, pics are coming tomorrow. There are pictures of me, Faye, Faye's man, the engagement tattoos, ghosts (hopefully!). The pics were supposed to be ready yesterday, but something in the processing machinery went askew, so we got a discount! Anyway, just PM me if you want pics. I'd put them on the net, but I have no clue how to do that. God, I am so happy. I so deserve this! And I am so thankful to God or whatever higher powers there are that I have a good man who loves me, is kind to me, and will stick by me through it all. Of course, I'll do the same for him! I too am lucky enough to have a great man by my side and I can only imagine the bliss that being engaged to him one day will be....I know that day is coming soon! Well you enjoy this and never take it for granted! I'd love to see the pic's of the tattoo's too, I my self was thinking of having something similar done when that time came..... I'd say "dreamy" but we don't live in the 1950's, do we? We've got the date set for April of 2006. That way we can both work on going to school, while we save for our wedding. You must all come! We got the tattoos because we know we're meant to be. We have such an odd story, filled with karma and happenstance that its too uncanny for a casual love. We are best friends, and that's the way we like it best. I've never understood how someone can get married to someone who isn't their best friend. Of course...we are lovers, too. And the sex has never been so good or fufilling as it is with W. We have this dream of getting married at the Isle of Skye. Wil wants to get married outdoors in "God's Temple." Then, we want to go to Europe (it will be the first time we've both left the country. Canada doesn't count, does it? Perhaps "Continent" would be a better choice) and we both have places that we want to see. For Wil, it's Scotland, Ireland, and London. For me, its Prague, Greece, Italy, and Spain. I'd also like to make it to France if we can. I want to see Paris and Versailles. Wil's big dream is to hike the "Camino." I'm not exactly sure what that is, other then the fact that it's in Spain. Ohh, so excited! Also, Pap dearest, thanks for offering to host them. I'll get them to you tomorrow! I'm glad that you know what you're doing via the computer, because I have no clue. Also SCU, I've often wondered if the ghosts do mess with machines just so they will not be discovered... Some of the pics are taken on our one year anniversary in a grave yard. Liekela, I'll totally show you my ghost pics, if any popped up on this role, which they should have. Thank you all for your congrats!!! Yeah, we're nice and stable. We quibble sometimes, but I think its abnormal if you don't quibble. Most of the time its over stupid stuff like what ring tone we should use for the cellie. I never thought I'd meet a decent human being with testicles, but my baby proved me wrong! (rough childhood, eh, don't we all have those?) Oh, and Pap...
