kye1987 Posted April 12, 2013 Share Posted April 12, 2013 There's this guy who works at my favorite coffee shop and has worked there for at least several months. He's recently been giving off vibes that make me think he wants to be more than friends. He smiles at me a lot more, he looks away when I catch him looking at me, sometimes he keeps looking when I catch him too. He has brought up his family a couple times in conversation. Some days he's really quiet and other days he asks lots of questions. He laughs at my jokes and he cracks a lot of his own too. One morning I went in to get my latte and the other barista that was working with him said my drink had already been paid for and I have a feeling it might have been him because when she said it had already been paid for he got this shy smile on his face before he tilted his head to one side and said good morning. He checked me out a few times and before he left when his shift was over he looked right at me before walking out the door. Then today when he was working he looked at me once but other than that completely ignored me. I'm confused. Does he want more than just friends? Or is he just shy? Link to post Share on other sites

An effective way to find out if he wants to be more than friends is to ask. Keep in mind: your description of the relationship thus far is somewhat broad; if there are any other specific details that you feel are important to consider, do share. Like he is really outgoing with his friends and coworkers but when I walk in he gets really quiet and shy. He looks me up and down a lot checking me out. I feel his eyes on me even when I'm not looking at him, but it's not a pervert kind of stare. The other day I said I feel like I've seen him everyday this week and he got this really big smile on his face. He has done quite a few things to try to impress me too. Idk. Mybe I'm reading into too much ... You are reading into it too much until you suggest a date. Only then will you know if he is too shy to ask you out.
