Issues with my Family

Ok, Hi everyone this will be my first post on this kind of forum and I am glad I found this forum. I really need some advice for the situation I am in. I live with My mother (I am still in college), Aunt, Grandmother, and two siblings both older than myself. The problem is mainly my Grandmother, she can be quite selfish, dramatic, mean, etc.

 

I have a young nephew about 4, who likes to watch me play the game. Sometimes he comes into my room and see me playing a game he doesn't like. He leaves my room crying and stuff while she blames me saying stuff like "why you shut the door on him" or "you always being mean to him leave him the hell alone". She goes on and on about how I AM a mean individual while cursing me out. Thats one case but the reason why I am here today is because of what happened recently between us.

 

So,I was talking to my Grandmother whom got into a little argument then she begins to say I look down on people because of my ethnicity (from my father's side). I told her I didn't agree with here ethnicity doesn't make me mean or anything like that and I got told in response "you don't know as much about yourself you haven't lived as long as me". She can be very racist.

 

We live in the same house but haven't talked in 3 weeks... even after that she is my grandmother but, I just don't think i can start a conversation with her... also I feel she wants me to apologize to her for when we had that ethnicity argument.

Yes I have talked to my mother about it but all she tells me is to ignore her. I try I really do but the things she says sometimes just pisses me off.

 

Ok, I agree with you but I just don't know how to approach her anymore. Something like this happened last year between us and we didn't talk for 4 months! This is the 4th time we have been in this situation... and I just want her to listen to what I am saying.
