Completely ruined...

Woooo another Doctor Who fan in this bizznatch. But yeah it's good to hear that your tests came back negative. And from one nerd to another, if a person will avoid you because you're a nerd, then that person ain't for you :p

Actually, there are two of them other than yourself. :p

Didn't you love Tom Baker's appearance in the 50th?

CC12, the first 2 were early on, a culture and a blood test. The doctor said he didn't think he did a good job with the culture scrape, and that the blood test might've been negative based solely on not having antibodies built up. He said it would take a max of 10 weeks for them to build up. Well I waited 40 weeks lol.

Elswyth, the diagnosis was purely visual and symptom based. Said I fit the bill perfectly.

Now that my blood is showing NO antibodies, he knows he was wrong.

I just wanted to post and say I am so glad to hear about your negative retests! The same exact thing happened to my best friend-- it even almost ruined her marriage. I had to console her for months and months through it, and then she found out she didn't even have it! So yes, false positives can indeed happen with herpes, but I would say 3 negative retests seals the deal.

Also, I am in the same boat with the whole nerdy girl thing. You are very attractive, sound very intelligent, and you have your own interests and passions. Believe it or not this can be intimidating to some men, especially shy nerdy guys who share your interests. There's an interesting article on intimidating women on Paging Dr. Nerdlove, it's definitely worth a google!

sounds like most guys on here are replying back simply because of your picture.

Funny, the majority of the responses in this thread are from females :p

My congratulations on your clean bill of health. If you want a second opinion, definitely go to a different doctor if you can afford it (your current doctor doesn't sound top shelf, exactly).

Phoe, that's some good news for you finding out the tests were negative. I too think you're very good looking. I'm surprised you've had trouble finding guys. But maybe it's a case of if you're shy, and the guys you're around are shy, whose going to make the first move?

Maybe consider doing something drastic to help boost your spirits and confidence. A makeover, some new clothes. I promise you people will notice. And if any guys were on the fence or too shy to say hi, it might spur them on to make a move perhaps :)

I didn't know this about you. I've just set up a new profile as my old one wasn't as anonymous as I would have liked. I'm glad your health is fine now. From other posts I've read of yours you always come across as a really nice person and very attractive too. Hopefully your new found knowledge will help to quell the ignorance of people you may encounter in the future as I'm sure it has on here too.
