JohnnyXray
JohnnyXray, I'm writing this now in hopes that you read this when you're in a better place, hopefully sooner than later. I write this to you now in hopes that you come back in the future and re-read this when you are on track and living the life you wish now to be living. Right now, you're struggling with alcoholism. You are drinking anywhere up to 20 beers a night, a night without alcohol you feel bored and alone, a feeling in which you hate. But, at the same time you're starting to realize the effect alcoholism is having on your life and how unhappy you've become. You know you want to quit and wipe your hands clean and start over again, but you just haven't yet gotten to that point. But you're close. These mixed emotions have filtered into your dreams, for a week now you have been having dreams about being in a tornado and dreams about the apocalypse. Upon research, dreaming about tornadoes represents "indicating that you are struggling against an emotional issue you feel helpless to solve." It goes on to say "Just like a tornado, the issue has swept you up and flung you where you don’t want to be." You're in a position you don't want to be, and you're starting to realize that and you feel helpless in dealing with that. But even so, you hold on to that hope because to have dreams about the apocalypse "signifies an emotional and dramatic change taken place within yourself. The dream may also indicate the end of one kind of lifestyle and the beginning of another. " Listen to those dreams, you feel helpless, and you're in a position you don't want to be in. But when you realize you need help and reach out, that dramatic change will happen. It'll be the end of your current lifestyle and the start of another. You realize this now, and I want you to remember it and for you to become the person you were 10 years ago. You have it in you. I want you to do it, and experience the greatness that comes with getting past it. I want you to come back and read this post in a year, and hope by then you've found your way.
TaraMaiden
Contact the AA. A very good friend of mine (an alcoholic himself) works with them as a 'buddy'. It's a good place to go, and the best second step you will ever take. The best first step is your letter, above. It's good that you can see things in this way. Well done. I wish you personal power and a good road ahead.
