EasyHeart
Usually when you buy a vitamin C supplement, one of the things to look for is a supplement that includes bioflavonids in addition to the vitamin C (ascorbic acid). The problem is that those powdered Cs will NOT dissolve in water and taste absolutely horrible, which makes them pretty useless. I'd only use a vitamin c powder if you're taking really big quantities. Vitamin C is pretty cheap, so there's not all that big a price savings with the powder. That being said, the two things to look for in a powder C are that it (1) dissolves easily and (2) is buffered so that it doesn't upset your stomach. (buffered C usually just means that there's some calcium added) Carlson makes a very good powdered C that it calls "Mild C". It's buffered, dissolves really easily and doesn't taste all that horrid. For some reason, it doesn't clump either. Not sure why. Powdered C will crystalize pretty easily and just turn into a big, hard rock that you have to chip at to get any powder, and that's really hard if it's inside a bottle. So keep it tightly sealed and away from any moisture. Good luck!

Leegh
I don't know, but I've read that the body cannot absorb more than about 500 mg. at a time, so it may be best not to take any more than that amount at one time. Some companies make a liquid form in small packets, which are convenient. If you look on iherb, for example, they will have a huge amount for you to choose from.
Charlie Harper
The best C you can buy is Liposomal vitamin C buy it in capsules since taken as a liquid tastes WAY BEYOND TERRIBLE. The ammount of C absorbed bythe body in liposomal form is at least 4 times higher than any other way. I bought like 500 capsules I am halfway and I feel great, no flu, no illnesses nothing ( I am quite healthy to boot) but give it a try.
