Do i take him back???

To make a lon story short.....dated a sep man for two yrs and we were very much in love. He has a lot of stress due to the divorce and custody, but I hung in there with him. It was also a LDR. When the divorce was becoming final, he dropped off the eart with no reason and ognored me the full 2 months. He got wind of me seeing someone else and now called me out of the blue and telling me he loves me and needed time. I feel a connection with him, but the relationship had a lot of ups and downs. A lot. I am afraid to go back since I almost let go of him. Only problem is I love him. DO I forgive him for ignoring me all this time? I am not sure what to do? In my heart, I felt he would cll one day, but now after what he did and not even thinking of me for 2 months and how upset I was, I am not sure I can go back. If you love someone don't you care enough to explain that you need space? How do you know if you should give it another chance?

When you love someone, and you need space, you tell them. You don't drop off the face of the earth, as you called it.

 

So there you have it. He f*cked up. He was very insensitive and selfish. He has asked you to take him back, so the ball is in your court now.

 

If you love this man, and think you can be happy with him, then by all means give it another shot.

 

If you cannot forgive him, or you think it is a waste of time, move on and don't look back.

 

No one else can make this decision for you.

Your post is very clear and your questions are very well thought out.

 

Although it may be hard for you, print out what you have posted and show it to him.

 

If he loves you he will see how wrong he was.

 

You have to be able to communicate your innermost thoughts with honesty.

 

If he accepts his mistake and takes responsibility then give him another chance. If he gets offended and angry, go back to square one or cut him loose.
