Something on this site prompted me to Google something yesterday, and I totally forgot what it was because I came across this article, which I thought was great. I do most of these things, although one or two I'm still continuing to work on.

22 Things Happy People Do Differently | Life'd

Fantastic article, Treasa! I think I'm on the right track, but like you, need to work on one or two of these things. :)

Thank you!

The Bible would say that you'd be better off learning and emulating what RIGHTEOUS people do rather than what happy people do. Happiness is fluctuating and often, in pursuit of happiness, people will do some pretty shady things. But "godliness with contentment is great gain" (1 Tim 6:6).

Kind of insinuating that you can't be happy without being righteous. I disagree.

Luckily some people can think for themselves and don't care what a book that was written 2,000 years ago by a bunch of monks that never got out much has to say about anything.

He says that happiness doesn't matter, only righteousness. What a load of

Where did I say that? Perhaps you're hearing what you want to hear to support your idea that the Bible is nonsense.

Happiness is good. Pursuing it as an end in itself is not only hedonistic, but potentially fraught with selfishness and evil. Let God decide when you receive gladness or sorrow. Your job is to pursue his Word and obey his commandments (Eccl 12).

Here. in your WHOLE previous text

By the way from your current post I can tell you have not bothered to click on the link in the original post and read what Treasa referred to.

Maybe refraining from comments would be better after you have actually read what this thread is about? Just a hunch.

I just asked God. We're tight, you see. God says I'm doing fine. :)

That's good to hear. So you must be lining up your life with Scripture and the words of Jesus pretty well.

Oh, I don't use the bible as my moral compass. You see, people can believe in God and not be Catholic or even Christian.

You can go on and say anything you'd like. I'm already happy, and I won't be seeing any more of your comments, which also makes me happy.

The article does not concern religion, so let's keep religion out of this thread. There's a big Religion and Spirituality forum to discuss such matters of theology/spirituality. Thanks.
