DannyMason
I honestly have to side with Somedude here. It's not like he made the joke in front of them where their feelings could get hurt, it was a harmless message board post. Also it was hilarious.

sillyanswer
You mean some of you reject women?! Sure. Sometimes. I can't keep them all to myself forever!
DannyMason
You mean some of you reject women?! Only under extreme circumstances, like serious obesity, having kids, or being a lot older than me. In some cases all three.
BillyBinkins
I mean, yeah, I'm not saying I'm attracted to, like, fat chicks with seventeen babies and a coke habit. But I am saying that sometimes you take what you can get.

I'd like to think I'd turn down "fat chicks with seventeen babies and a coke habit" if they ever turn up at my door.

I'd like to think I'd turn down "fat chicks with seventeen babies and a coke habit" if they ever turn up at my door. Fair enough. But if anyone's keeping score, I'd like to think I'm Bill Gates....help a brother out?

BillyBinkins
What would we even gain from dating 17 babies chick? What would be the point? Nothing, aside from personal validation and a certain amount of ego-stroking. Not saying it's the right thing to do, at all. I'm just saying that me, personally....I haven't had a date in a long time, man.
Pompeii
Also it was hilarious. You must be easily amused because that wasn't even remotely funny.
Author JuneJulySeptember
You must be easily amused because that wasn't even remotely funny. Honestly, I didn't find it funny, but a number of people would. Making fun of people is some comedians' biggest gag. I don't like comedians who ride down on short, fat, and ugly people because I have self esteem problems. But lots of people laugh at that stuff.

I was bullied during my school days in large part about my weight to the point of wanting to commit suicide and I still found it funny. Now if he starts making those remarks to girls in real life, I'd lose all sympathy. As it was, no one was hurt. No harm no foul.

I can laugh at racist jokes and stuff like that, but when people make short, fat, or ugly jokes, it kind of hits home. Not that I think it's totally offensive, just not that funny. destroyed4sho
I was once at a lounge and watching this really good looking handsome guy...just curious to see who approaches him. LITERALLY, it was one girl after the next...it was like girls where waiting for the current girl to strike out for their turn....it was NON STOP!! He was not only good looking but dressed well too. Clothing and being fashionable and trendy play a BIG role!! 70% in my opinion. Good looking guys get approached everywhere they walk...I see it ALL the time. Not to say that if you don't get approached you are not good looking, it has to do with style and being personable.
Roadkill007
You mean some of you reject women?! all the time... when I'm already dating someone I'm getting more serious (less casual, really) about, mostly. I'm not very good at it though. Edited May 22, 2013 by Roadkill007
will1988
I'm one of those guys who doesn't realize it until after the fact. I am handsome, but on the heavier side. I still get approached, but it is at most 2 to 3 times a year... and generally at a bar or after class. It is a real ego boost to me. My fiance who is a hair stylest, gets hit on and asked out at least once or twice a week. and she just brushes it off of her shoulders, but to us guys that it rarely happens to... it is a great feeling, even if it is unwanted. reasonable doubt
I've never been approached by a woman in my life. If you asked me to think of at least one time when a woman expressed interest, I wouldn't be to come up with anything. It's at a point now that even if a woman did approach me, I'd refuse to believe she's actually interested. It'd either be a trick or she must have an ulterior motive. USMCHokie
I'm one of those guys who doesn't realize it until after the fact. Yea...I don't realize until MUCH later...like years later when I think back and wonder what the hell I was thinking...even if it's blatantly obvious...I remember there was this one time a few years ago, I was out at a bar with a girl I met here from LS actually, just hanging out and playing wingman for each other. This woman approached me out of nowhere and asked if I was gay. I said no, and she wrote down her number, gave it to me, and told me to call her. I thought she was kidding and never called. Now looking back, I realize she might have been interested...

Imajerk17
Cripes. I NEVER get approached. Until I came upon LS, I had no idea that this was something I ought to be wailing and gnashing my teeth over. Even in online dating. I am on Match and I get maybe one unsolicited contact from someone I could be interested in A YEAR. And no I'm not holding out for a supermodel. And yes my profile is well-written. And yet I do decently in approaching and dating. JuneJulySeptember seriously young man you need to buck up. Edited May 23, 2013 by Imajerk17

Woohoo
When I was severely overweight never. And I do mean NEVER. I initiated or was invisible. Sometimes this met with "insta-friendzone" with phrases like "you seem like you would be a nice friend" or the classic "why are you talking to me look." Once I really trimmed down, got my band up and nice clothes the approaches became more common. The band thing is absolute gold here because if gives women a REASON to approach. Most women don't have any ability to cold-approach and are scared so they just hover waiting for you. Gotta make it easy on the women, that is what they value. Also a few bright, weird accessories help (depends on environment). Learning to work a room also has helped ENORMOUSLY. It places women in the situation that you are in demand and if they don't approach, their not going to get approached cause you are in demand. Funny thing is women often are angry about all the stupid approaches, "come here often etc." but the second women have to approach, the exact same clunky approaches come out. It is comical really and your ability to ease/control the tension becomes an enormous place of power/confidence.
SlickWalrus
Dated more than half of the girls that approach me. No clue why, I would've dated the other half had it not been because of already being in a relationship. I'm 18, pale, auburn/ginger, nerdy as ****, introverted like there's no tomorrow. Maybe I'm just easily lead on?
thatone
Thrice in 36 years. Once when I was 17, the other two about a year ago. Lost virginity to the first, the second and third were about the same time, passed on both. One was my maid, has a toddler (nope!). The other was a married decorator at a flooring store I hired to do some work on my house, looking to trade up to someone with more money I was suspecting, she gets to work on stately old houses downtown but not sleep in them...(much..).
