Treasa
Lip Sync-Off with John Krasinski - YouTube I realize I have no hope of convincing you that most women are attracted to the following things: 1. Humor 2. Playful self-deprecation 3. Confidence 4. Laid-back-ed-...ness? But I'm sure as hell gonna try anyway! I'd jump all over either man, regardless of what he looked like. This is so freaking funny and hot.

Author Treasa
Oh yes, because when I see a guy with an awesome personality who's funny, the first thing I do is find out his net worth. Like I said, I know I wouldn't make anything think any differently, and that's fine. If people want to keep being miserable and blaming everything else, they can go ahead and do that.
Author Treasa
I just think your topic would've had more of an impact if you had posted a video of two men who were: - Actually ugly - Not well known multimillionaires who made their fortune being funny and charismatic. You don't see me making topics trying to console fat, ugly girls only to post Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba as examples of girls I'd totally date for their radiant.. personality. I could do that, except that I suspect that people are going to continue to choose to be miserable anyway. News flash: I was extremely fat, and I never had a problem getting a boyfriend. Nor did I go around pissing and moaning about my pathetic life. THAT is ugly. That kind of attitude.

PJKino
I think you missed the point. That's ok. You missed my point, not everyone has a great sense of humor and /or is outgoing and charismatic If its not you then you cant force it
Author Treasa
You missed my point, not everyone has a great sense of humor and /or is outgoing and charismatic If its not you then you cant force it Um, that isn't true. There was a time when I couldn't talk to ANYONE and I didn't even leave the house for five months. I was terribly shy, not very outgoing, and came across as defensive almost all the time. It's sure a lot easier to change than something like your height or every little negative physical thing about yourself.
Author Treasa
prove it to me that women are less attracted to looks How exactly should I prove this? I can only tell you MY opinion as a woman, and the opinions of my female friends, who, oddly enough, also happen to be women. None of their husbands or boyfriends are what I would consider spectacularly hot, but then, people's definitions of hot can vary quite a bit. Like I said, if you want to be miserable, that's fine. You aren't hurting a single person except yourself. True, I like to help people, but I'm not going to knock myself out trying to do it.
sweetkiwi
:eyeroll::eyeroll::eyeroll: I dated a dude who was homeless before. And funny as HELL. he wasn't hot either. But yeah. You're right guys. Having no sense of humor>sense of humor. :eyeroll: one more for good measure.
Author Treasa
Well darling that would be because you had a vagina, even when you were extremely fat. Note how the complaints on any forum be it online or in real life vary greatly among men and women. Men complain about how they can't get anyone, women complain they can't get the quality they want. There's a distinct difference. I'm not following. I didn't get guys because I had a vagina. There are other vaginas around that are easier to get.
Author Treasa
true but you and your friends are not all women, when I mean not all women, as in it does not explain the opinion of every other woman on the planet Thank you for making my point!! Just because ONE WOMAN or even a GROUP OF WOMEN doesn't find you attractive doesn't mean that NO WOMEN on the planet find you attractive. I love you, now.
sweetkiwi
true but you and your friends are not all women, when I mean not all women, as in it does not explain the opinion of every other woman on the planet No. You are correct. I cannot vouch that 100% of all women are as cool as OP and I . But guess what. We DO KNOW that there are women out there who value personality over looks/money/whatever other bull**** you've convinced yourself you don't have.
tbf
How exactly should I prove this? I can only tell you MY opinion as a woman, and the opinions of my female friends, who, oddly enough, also happen to be women. None of their husbands or boyfriends are what I would consider spectacularly hot, but then, people's definitions of hot can vary quite a bit.Hot is subjective. This is what I was trying to communicate in the post below. Not hot. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are considered major sex symbols. They're aesthetically good-looking but leave me ice cold. Hot! Benedict Cumberbatch is not aesthetically considered good-looking, at least by any generic litmus test. But his personality, intelligence and more emotionally stoic demeanor shine through clearly, that he tops the above two by a light year. So yes, it's true that guys are rejected because they're not attractive enough. Where the distinction lies is the definition of attractive, which will vary per woman. What was perfect was that Divasu gave her subjective opinion of the men I linked which differed from my preferences. Ryan Reynolds = (RR doesn't give off that 'masculine' 'sexy' vibe, and he doesn't come across as all 'alpha-yee', so I can see why some wouldn't find him attractive. Myself NOT included ). Hugh Jackman = no Benedict Cumberbatch = no When the guys on this site finally figure out that there's no universality behind attraction, even though they personally might have their own subjective preferences and instead of hyper focusing on what they don't have, focus on what they do and tweak a few traits that don't appeal to the women they prefer, maybe they'll finally find women that will date them.
Author Treasa
Yep, you're right, tbf. I made my bi-weekly attempt to try and help, but a person won't change until they want to change. They can go ahead and be unhappy.

soccerrprp
I think the crux of this is that guys who complain or better yet, fixate on their lack of physical attributes, should "try" bolstering or developing your other attributes such as humor, communication, social-skills in general to offer as an alternative source of attraction. Unless you're Phantom of the Opera grotesque, there are women out there that value personality, inter-personal skills above your lack-of-model-looks. My brother is married to a very attractive, tall, red-head. He's bald, short (2-3 inches shorter), but has a killer smile, sense of humor, confident and is one of the most sociable/amicable people on the planet (I take all the credit for what he's become ). So, work that those areas. Unless you're planning on some serious plastic surgery, these qualities are more endearing to most.

They can go ahead and be unhappy. I've made one post so far in a long while. I have no desire to do it anymore, now I occasionally post to present my own POV on things rather than to help because I don't see the point anymore. They think I'm somehow privileged and do not understand or that I am delusional . Regarding OP, that's kinda how I make my music at times .

Oh God, Benedict Cumberbatch!! He reminds me of someone, but I don't recall who. He has such an interesting face and demeanor. The other two are ok, but they wouldn't turn my head.
