So that she loves my money rather than me and me losing half my stuff when we get divorced after she gets her green card. No thank you. I'd rather be alone than go through that type of trauma.

I think part of my situation is location and the fact that I don't put much effort into dating the quality I want to be honest.

It's actually interesting that you mention sales. I *am* in sales! And very successful in that. This year with the economy improving, I am on track to earning 7 figures. To get to where I am, it is not a lack of social skills -- I have plenty of friends and I have been told numerous times that I am the MOST social guy that they know.

 

The problem, unfortunately is the product. Anyone can sell a good product. A mediocre product requires skill. But an obviously crap product cannot be moved unless you PAY the customer! Unfortunately, I *am* that crap product. I really don't want to flaunt my money in order to compensate for my ugly looks to get a girlfriend.

 

I have seen very few men who cannot improve their looks by getting in shape & acquiring a jaw-line.

 

I'm short, going bald & until I got in shape women really didn't find me all that attractive.

I must be the exception I am 6 ft tall, in good shape (I go to the gym everyday) and definitely not over weight, play competitive tennis, and I have a full head of hair. I assume well groomed :-) because that's part of the job description. I talk to girls I see all the time, so I'm not shy.

 

Friends have set me up. But no luck there. OLD doesn't work for me either -- no hits at all! In the end, there is only one conclusion: despite what women's opinion on looks are, it *is* looks that gets you past the door. From my experience, if you don't have looks, you can try, but failure seems to be the only option.

That sucks. I suppose you can try to develop a sexualized personality so women can connect better on an emotionally interested level. There are also other places to meet "single and available women" like at church or a yoga class. All it takes is one girl to be the right one to the get married. Got to be my face . Ethnicity is "mutt". I don't think I resemble any celebrity. I'm not the one classifying myself as ugly. I've gone out on dates where girls at the end say "You have a great personality but ..." That's a great euphemism for ugly!

 

In sales, you can tell whether you've got the client interested or not, or at least tell how much effort you will need to get him/her interested. Or whether it is impossible to get the client. On dates, I can just tell or live in denial . For example, with some girls that I like, I try harder. Well harder doesn't get you anywhere, it seems. Harder, I think, just makes me out to be a creep. I remember the SNL skit with Tom Brady about sexual harassment. Well, it's only harassment if you're not good looking or handsome

I think you should try a sales job, maybe at the mall, at a job with more women. even walmart or target are decent jobs to meet and talk to women. macy's is a good place to work with women and hot women in the cosmetics department.

 

I had a sales job for 9 years. Never helped me with women. Wasn't good money either.

Haha, I have plenty of friends but no gf. I had planned to visit France this summer to see a girl I thought liked me. Got LJBF'ed. Sucks, but that's the story of my life. Second time a European girl did this to me. I guess my radar is badly tuned for those continental girls I guess I'll stick with good old US girls, but I have no luck with them either. And Asian girls don't want me either.

 

I'm planning a ski trip down under this US summer. I'll find out whether Aussie girls diss me too!

I go to Europe all the time. (I have a condo overlooking the Thames right across Tower Bridge). I'm waiting to see if I got a ticket to Wimbledon through their lottery (No, you can't buy tickets, you can only get it through a lottery. With all my friends in the UK, none of them seem to know any aristocracy ).

 

Like I said, I'm just enjoying myself now. Chicks be damned!

Yes, its true...aristocracy are hard to come by. Its that funny thing of how they make up a small percentage of the population (I don't know, less than 10 or 20%)...but hold the majority of the country's wealth

It's north of the river and a short walk from Tower Hill Station. St Katherine's Docks is really nice in the evening.

Aussie women suck, don't bother going there to meet girls. In fact that whole country blows (okay, the Kangaroos are kinda cool but it's just a huge rabbit). Best places I met tons of fun girls in Europe were Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean. Czech Republic, Greek and Italian areas were all really cool. If you are a skier and have bucks go to Norway or Finland people up there are really nice. I if I could move out of the US I'd go to Finland, no contest. Also Spain is full of party animals.

 

Also I have an ugly face too, in fact my whole head (it's goofy looking and way out of proportion to the rest of my body). Even after working out at the gym and gaining about 40lbs I still look a little bit out odd depending on what I am wearing and my posture. However I don't find dating impossible, just a lot of extra work for the same reward other guys get by saying "hi".

I lived there briefly and one of my friends had a pet one. It was a girl one and it was pretty cool. She was a teacher and used to bring it to school in the back of her 'Ute' (it's like a pickup truck and a car practically half of australia drives one).

They are until you try to get a date. Personally I liked New Zealand much better. Very rural and easy-going, hunting fishing that sort of thing. Like I said if you are looking to PARTY it's places like Prague, Madrid, Rome you should be looking at. Those places are always hopping and tons of pretty girls everywhere.

I think this is the problem with Lifestyle and Culture. Meet different types of women at better places than bars. Meet the types of women who want a guy like you, instead of superficial bar girls. There are a lot of high-quality girls that don't go to bars, and never meet men but go to yoga class and the grocery store.

 

Change your Culture - do you know how to please a woman and make her happy? can you share cultural similarities or interest her? Do you share the same religion with a girl? Its a lot easier to date girls from the same religion, rather than trying to convert them if they want kids. Learn about music and find women who share your taste in music.
