Go for it or not?

I have known this guy from online for a few months, and he is from another part of the world. We have been texting all day and video call almost everyday, unless either of us are going out at night. So recently he has came to visit my country and me, we even went to another country, sharing room together. (Nothing happen..) It was really great to spend real time together! However, he didn't show any special feelings for me, just huggings and sharing food. I asked him why did he want to come, and he said I'm one of the reason why, if he is willing to travel from far away and spending lots of time writing me, isn't he willing to do alittle commitment with me? My conclusion was that maybe he is disappointed in seeing the real me? (My face is quite good condition, so I don't make up), I did asked him whether is there any disappointment in anything? The place or me? And he was like its great, everything is really good and me too. When he just arrived here, he was shy and not very open, then after days and days, he was used to having me around, sharing food (he didn't at first), me holding his arm. His back to his country now, and we are still texting each other like usual times. I wanted to confess my love to him during his departure, however I was really sad, I cried in front of him. He hugged me and said comforting words and I gave him a kiss and say goodbye. Maybe he just treat me as a friend? But I have special feeling for him and deciding whether should I visit him in a few months.. If I visit him, the feeling will become stronger and I will feel more disappointed. What should I do?
