Majik45
Hey all, Brand new to this forum and just found it last week while looking for advice. Basically, I met a girl through the internet and we had our 2nd date over the weekend. It was WONDERFUL! I drove about 3 hours to spend the day with her, and I don't think things could have gone better. I like her a lot, but the only problem is she lives 3 hours away. She's going through a lot of transitions in her life right now, and trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, so it's hard for us to find time to get together. We both seem to have busy calendars, and whenever I try to bring up ideas for getting together, she seems very non-commiting to it. The relationship is definitely not one-sided as we both call each other and e-mail back and forth a lot. I guess I was just looking for some advice/suggestions/encouragement from some people who are having success with the LDR they are in. Any ideas on what we can do to get more time together? Thanks! brandx
Hi Majik, Well, every experience is different, but I am having an LDR with someone who is about 4 hours away and it is incredible. We typically spend the weekend together about every 2 weeks. This has been going on for about 6 weeks since we started "seeing" each other. It is hard because I miss her terribly, but as long as you work to manage insecurities, irrational fears, and have extremely open communication than I think things can work. Although, we'll see what I say 6 months from now I suppose, but I wouldn't trade her for anything, so I say give it a shot. Be Well, Brand X
