A song for us OW and exOW

Recommended Posts

The one that currently gets me (and it's not an OW song, but a love song in general..) is A thousand years by christina perry... and Stolen by dashboard confessional, the slower version.

I love 1,000 years too! Its the Twilight Song. Ahem, I just showed how immature I am. LOL.

I wish I could listen to these songs like I used to, before they all made me sad. One day.

The Way I Am- by Ingrid Michaelson.

I'm heavy into 'get the hell over it' mode, but this song is so sweet and has some funny similarities.

*Sigh* I need to turn off the dang radio.

The first time I ever remember hearing Ingrid's music she opened for the first Dave Matthews concert I ever saw - i love her!

The first time I heard this song, it was used in Strictly Come Dancing (Like dancing with the starts) and they danced a Viennes Waltz. It was beautiful. I hope to use this as my first dance at my next wedding :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

or not.....one divorce is enough in my life unless its my exMMs

How about, "I Will Survive," by Gloria Gaynor?

On another note (and a total T/J), when I had my ovarian cancer scare I heard the song by Tim McGraw about going skydiving and being a better person. I was literally driving to my oncologist's office. I flipped it off, flipped it back on and convinced myself that ovarian cancer may be a death sentence but I wasn't going to stop living. I just went climbing last weekend - not Rocky Mountain climbing, but climbing.

Songs can be incredibly powerful.

Live Like You Were Dying...right? It *is* a powerful song. Didn't he write it for his dad?
