Notsurewhathappened
I am trying to move on because my MM said he was going to leave and just kept delaying. It was one excuse after the other. I believe he loved me and he wanted to leave but maybe he just couldn't change. He was about 20 years older than me. Maybe he just was complacent with they way things had been for him for so long. I believed he would leave but his wife just recently found out and he still stayed even though he continued to try to see me. He wanted to keep us both. Now I am just trying to move on. If he hasn't left, I really have to let go.
Quiet Storm
Many men are like this. They don't want to gwt divorced. Divorce is a failure. They want to remain married,.and still get their unmet needs met. The optimal situation is for their spouse to meet their needs. if that doesn't happen, they look outside the marriage. It doesn't mean they don't want to be married to their spouse. It just means their spouse is not meeting their needs and they are seeking others to meet those unmet needs. Quiet Storm
Not all of them have 'unmet' needs. There's a good number of them that simply ENJOY variety and think they're entitled to it - and nothing more than that. The guy is 20 years older. She's an exciting, sexual ego trip for him. I didn't say that a MMs needs are valid or realistic. Most cheaters need lots of attention and validation. They are like a bucket with a hole, you can never fill them up.
