Author King Bowls
I have. It's laughable. First of all, nobody's been talking about chimps until you did. We've been focussing on the larger and most powerful primates - who would probably toss those weights around like matchsticks. And now YOU - have lowered the ante - and you're talking about chimps doing squats and beating all these magnusson guys....well, probably not. But put them against a gorilla, and they wouldn't stand a a rat's ass of a chance. What's laughable is that those primates have never been really tested In strength, you don't know if they would toss weights around or not. Apparently you don't realize what these men are capable of. I was not lying when I said they're at least 8-10x stronger than an average adult male.
Author King Bowls
 Oh golly hun, I think you are my new favorite poster. I can smell your testosterone all the way from Southlake here to Houston. MMMMmmm, smells good hun. Let's talk primates some more. No wait, who's this Benedikt Magnusson fella you mentioned? That doesn't sound like a Texas name to me. I'll have to google him. I hope they have videos of him and his deadlifts on Youtube. I'll bet that's very fun to watch. Have you got any pics up yet in your album of you lifting or working the hand grippers? That would be nice too. 19 years old huh? Oh golly. :bunny: Tell us more about this hand gripper stuff. Does it develop your forearms when you work these hand grippers? Like, give you Popeye arms? That would be so cool too. Benedikt Magnusson is a strongman from Iceland who holds the world record raw deadlift. I don't really have any pics to post, sorry And yes these grippers can give you a crushing grip
TaraMaiden
What's laughable is that those primates have never been really tested In strength, you don't know if they would toss weights around or not. Well of course they have. How would claims about their strength be made in the first place - ?! They may not have been tested in a gym, lifting weights, but studies have been conducted... or else how would naturalists know HOW strong they are - ?! Apparently you don't realize what these men are capable of. I was not lying when I said they're at least 8-10x stronger than an average adult male. Sure they are. I don't doubt it. As strong as or stronger than an adult male silverback gorilla? As strong or stronger than an adult male Orang Utan? Never. not in a million years.

What better way to test their strength than to put them in a weight room??? Exactly. And a orangutan can't bench 1000 lbs, I guarantee it. Or back press 6,000 lbs like Paul Anderson did. Or lift 502 lbs with one finger like the great Louis Cyr.
TaraMaiden
That's the thing. Naturalists truly don't know. What better way to test their strength than to put them in a weight room??? Exactly. That's actually an extremely inaccurate way of testing strength. What you're forgetting is that these apes not only have strength, they also have power. And it's sustainable. Humans cannot continually exert their strength and have to stop to rest. These apes just keep going because for them, it's normal behaviour. For humans, it's stress. And a orangutan can't bench 1000 lbs, I guarantee it. Or back press 6,000 lbs like Paul Anderson did. Or lift 502 lbs with one finger like the great Louis Cyr I bet it could.... A human can't climb a 80ft tree in 30 seconds flat. A human can't swing through trees, flying between them and catching branches with one outstretched hand, at speeds of anything up to 15mph. You really, honestly think you can get stronger than this? You're so funny....

You're so funny.... You can't compare swinging through branches to pressing 300 lbs above your head with one arm quite easily (Paul Anderson again). It's laughable if you're actually trying to compare. And climbing 80ft is not more impressive than back pressing 3 tons to me, maybe to you it is. Can a orangutan or any other primate do that? Maybe a silverback gorilla, maybe...but not a chimp or orangutan.

Then come back to this thread and tell us what humans can do up in the trees.

TaraMaiden
yeah, that's around 40 stone. A gorilla can lift a tree. Which probably weighs considerably more.

TaraMaiden
No, but a tree nevertheless. Never seen a man lift a tree single-handed.... Look, here's an idea - why don't you quit spouting rubbish? Just concentrate on becoming the strongest man in the world ever, and quit worrying about the fact that a monkey can beat you. And focus on yourself. You have got more to worry about than pitting your strength against a primate. Like, how to be the most powerful and strongest man in the world - combined with an uncertain sexuality. Hope you're doing this without the assistance of drugs, steroids, performance enhancers and synthetic muscle builders. By the way, you know gorillas and Orang Utans are vegetarians, don't you?
Forever Learning
I suggest you watch a Tarzan movie. Then come back to this thread and tell us what humans can do up in the trees. That's it. I'm adding Tarzan to my Bangable List. But I draw the line at Cheetah. Ok straight up, Tarzan versus Cheetah in a MMA Cage fight. I think Tarzan would win, no question. I don't recall Cheetah swinging from vines the way Tarzan did. Tarzan obviously had more hand gripping power.
Forever Learning
By the way, you know gorillas and Orang Utans are vegetarians, don't you? I thought they were Omnivores. So they don't eat bugs? That's high quality protein, according to the Science Channel.

Well lifting a tree single handely is completely out of ability, I mean I have lifted an 8 ft log that has a diameter of about 2 ft with one hand (picking it up from one end, standing it up, pushing it back down) In 20 years or so, I will have been training for 24 years, one of these days I will prove it to everyone. And no I don't use any kind of enhancements, my life is more important than gaining substantial strength quickly, when I can still achieve it but it takes longer. Not worth high blood pressure and all that. And yes I knew that
