This is why it's better to take risks. You get experiences when you do so :).

 

(EDIT: Within reason of course!! Don't take too many risks, but you have to take some to get anywhere ;))

Yeah it was within reason. When I walked her to her car she didn't give me any signals that she wanted me to kiss her (that I at least noticed) but the whole date she was super comfortable with me and I touched her a lot, put my around her shoulder several times, so I had a good enough idea that she would be fine with a kiss.

 

And now I can hardly believe that today actually happened.

Take heart in the fact that you were proactive - and the fact that you both enjoyed each other's presence. Now you have to believe that there will be many more moments like today. Whether it's (hopefully) from this girl or another.

 

But yeah, I have to reiterate that I'm extremely happy for you and it's been a long time coming :).

Hopefully this thread is inspiration for the struggling fellas on here.

 

No matter what ends up happening between you and this girl Somedude, you took initiative and saw what happens when you do so. Nice work!

 

Let's review...

 

--You asked for her contact info.

 

--You kept in contact via FB (I'm assuming) the two months between your last class and now.

 

--You asked her out.

 

--You asked her out again.

 

--You pushed through your fears, made a move, and kissed her.

 

Even if the unthinkable happens and she says "let's just be friends" you should feel very proud of yourself man. No matter how long your story with this particular girl lasts, you now have an idea of what is possible when you take initiative.

But there might have been if I stayed longer.

 

I walked her to her car, she takes her keys out of her purse, and drops her chapstick. She opens the door, puts in her purse, grabs the chapstick, puts that in her car and I'm just standing there waiting. All this time she's saying thank you for today and stuff like that.

 

Finally, I'm given the chance to hug her, nice real hug, since my head is right there I kiss her on the cheek without even thinking, still in my arms she pulls back enough to look at me, and I just know to go for a real kiss. Still in my arms she said something that she knew I was going to do it. We have one or two more quick kisses and then we said bye.

 

I'm sure that if I stayed longer more would have happened, but I'm happy that it stopped when it did. Frankly, I wasn't ready for it to go beyond.

I'm so incredibly happy reading this story!!

 

Not because I thought it would never happen, but because I knew that eventually it would happen and so to hear it is gratifying. ;)

I know it seems like it would be easy to eff it up.. sort of like the guys in the movies who go for a girl that they think is too good for them, only to act like blabbering idiots....

 

Really, though; as long as you just be yourself, and you're kind and respectful (yet without waiting too long for sex, so she does not think your not interested) then you cannot really stuff up; you either will or will not be the right dude for her!:D
