c57dood
Ok, please don't give me the "I'm shallow for judging" treatment. I am a man who has no tattoos and like they say water seeks it's own level. Where the HECK do you find women who are not tatted up? For me, and I say FOR ME, tattoos are a huge turn off. I know a majority of the population finds them hot and sexy, but I do not. I really do not like the way tattoos look on women at all. My problem is I don't know where to find women who don't have any! I'm not religious, so church is not really my thing. Are there certain cultures, ethnicities, or activities I'd be more likely to find a woman who has clean skin?
hppr
I don't see many women with tattoos honestly. You must be looking in the wrong places or live in some artfag area of town were the women have more ink than a police lineup.

Author c57dood
A man that thinks like me on this subject. I can't believe it. I will have no cheap, trashy tattoos on my body. I think it's trashy and showy on both men and women. Chuch maybe depending upon the denomination it is. But, I know you don't like church, so I don't know. Women and men with tattoos are everywhere. It's an epidemic, and I don't want any on my sons' bodies either. I don't know about any ethnicity that wouldn't have them. Maybe Amish or Middle Eastern women. Other than that, you just have to meet and date many women and hope you run across one you like without tattoos. Well, there's one! Yet, I'm willing to bet that if more women comment in this thread you'll be in the minority.
Keenly
not being judgmental, tattoos look trashy. Your entire post was littered with judgement.
ltjg45
There is a sheer overwhelming number of women down here that has tattoos and I just can't see the appeal to them. It doesn't make me want these women more esp. when everyone else got them, which kills basically anything unique about them. Now it's basically just another expectation. Esp. for the women who has them covered on their arms and legs. Sure makes me think they are women not worth messing with in any way and I just stay clear of them. Nowadays, finding women that doesn't have very noticable tattoos is difficult let alone ones who has none at all. OP, if you ever find an area with a suitable number of them, let me know. hppr
I see them everywhere. They have them everywhere on their body. I went to work one day, this woman was dressed nice and professionally, then I look down and she is wearing open-toed shoes and she has one on her toes. It just brought her professional demeanor down a couple of notches. Then at another place of employment, this woman trying to appear professional, she was fat and sloppy, then you look down and she has an ankle bracelet tattoo on her ankle. I'm sorry about my opinion offending any women on here. And I'm not being judgmental, I have a right to my opinion. In most cases tattoos look trashy. A couple of guys I saw looked hot with one or two, and I think men can pull then off better than woman, but as a woman, I wouldn't get any. Eh could just be perception. Like I said I don't see that many, I do wonder at the young girls with tons of ink though. Like this one girl I ran into working here in Sacramento, she's 19-20yr old waitress, apparently a single mom, covered in tats with 'Diamonds are Forever' across the top of her chest. I don't really mind if she has the ubiquitous 'tramp stamp' but the over the top stuff makes me cringe.
ffw
I haven't come across any bar/club or a public gathering place where they say "people with tattoo's are not allowed". So, I can't answer your question. What I can say is tattoo's can be beautiful also. It's a form of self expression and art. Anyways, to each their own. GL.
hppr
Where is this? Everywhere I look ALL women have tattoos! I guess I live in pretty conservative towns, Phoenix for one. Right now I am in Sacramento area and do admit that I see more chicks with tats out here. But still not some sort of epidemic. However I sort of agree since it seems to be a right of passage for girls these days to 1) get a tattoo and 2) go lesbo for awhile/have a threesome sort of thing.
furiousgreen
Well observant Jewish women are less likely to have tattoos since it's forbidden by Jewish religious law. Among secular Jews it's probably not much different than the general population.
sillyanswer
Where the HECK do you find women who are not tatted up? For someone to date, you could try a dating website and express through your online profile that you don't like tattoos or that you're looking for someone who has none.
marqueemoon4
I just got back from going to the pool with my son.. it was like a bad tattoo festival. I can't talk too much, I have a few on my ankles I absolutely despise, but I got them in '97, and will have them lasered off asafp. I would love to find a woman who is 100% ink free.. and honestly when dating a tramp stamp is an immediate deal breaker for me.

Something about the human body being one of God's masterpieces and we're not supposed to make marks on it. But I have a lot of Jewish friends, and they say they wouldn't mind getting a tat except their families would raise hell about it. But would it bother you if a woman had a tat to camouflage a scar? I went to a beach party 2 years ago where this one attractive woman had a flock of butterflies tattooed on her tummy to hide a scar from a burst appendix that nearly killed her. USMCHokie
OP, you could try dating significantly older women who lived in a generation where tattoos were less mainstream and less accepted than they are today. They will probably share your views on tattoos and also appreciate your lack of tattoos.

I wouldn't mind dating a Jewish girl, but I'm not Jewish, and I've heard they don't date anyone not Jewish. Tattoos on women just plain turn me off. I'd rather see the scar. I don't understand the widespread appeal of them at all. I'm only 30 btw

Emilia
Methinks that it is a projection of insecurity when folks who don't have tattoos criticize those who do, especially now in a time when tattoos are commonly accepted and in same cases desirable. I think it's quite a subtle thing in some ways. I know men who have tattoos yet they are critical of women who have the wrong kind of tattoos or have too many or have any at all. thefooloftheyear
There is nothing wrong with "wanting what you want"....If you are doing OLD just put it in your profile... But let me say this as well..Is it possible that the woman of your dreams just happens to have a tattoo? So what? Why would you want to exclude those people from your pool of potential candidates? I know I wouldnt...I think tattoos are sexy as hell on women, provided they dont go "over the top"... Id advise against dating traditional Jewish women..You are right..They usually dont ever "settle down" with someone who isnt aligned with their faith..You might wind up attached only to get dropped on your head when it gets serious... There are legitimate deal breakinig characteristics in people....I dont believe that tattoos should be one of them... Good Luck TFY
xxoo
I have no tattoos. My partner has some. The tattoos (presence or absence) have no bearing on our attraction or character. Maybe you are reading too much into the choice to get a tattoo? A small tattoo (or 2) is a "small thing". You may overlook a great partner for a superficial reason.

I know men who have tattoos yet they are critical of women who have the wrong kind of tattoos or have too many or have any at all. Same I have 1 tattoo but it's a really personal one (a name of a friend who got shot with a Celtic Cross) and it's not in a place where you can see it. Also a good friend of mine does tattoos for a living and he always whines about people with 'bad ink' and how gross it looks, especially on women. As for the OP if he wants to date women without tats that's his business personally I think it is a bit unrealistic to say 'no tats at all' but not wanting to date a circus freak who has ex-boyfriend's names all over her is understandable. Maleficent
That's not my point. My point is that people who have tattoos, get insulted, criticised and called names, by people without tattoos, for having tattoos. You don't get people who don't have tattoos, getting insulted, criticised and called names, by people with tattoos, simply because they haven't got tattoos. People without tattoos don't have their social skills and professionalism questioned for now having tattoos either. People don't look at their weirdly in the street. People don't say in their backs thinking we don't hear them : «look at this guy/girl with no tattoos. what a shame.»
Eclypse
I'm not the biggest fan of tattoos myself but I haven't seen all that many professional women with them (at least not in places I can see). I think this is one of things you'll have to analyse on a case by case basis.
Biscous
You sound like me OP. Where I live right now I feel like an outcast because I don't feel the need to cover myself up in ink. I also find them extremely distracting from natural beauty and many are a tell tell sign for psychological issues (e.g low self esteem.. statistically speaking). Maybe I'm an ******* but w/e. With that said I've dated women with some tats and I reserve judgement on them and there are SOME I like, though I prefer ink free skin or less distracting tattoos. Biscous
People without tattoos don't have their social skills and professionalism questioned for now having tattoos either. People don't look at their weirdly in the street. People don't say in their backs thinking we don't hear them : «look at this guy/girl with no tattoos. what a shame.» FYI you have to understand the history of tattoos and why people have negative associations with tattoos because for many decades they WERE associated with criminal organizations and still are to this day. Now there are some that do have significant meaning for cultural reasons e.g. Samoan tattoos, but like me for example I wouldn't get that sort of tattoo or a Chinese symbol because I think it'd be disrespectful. So if someone makes a judgement call on that then that's why. There are some public establishments that will not allow people with face tattoos. I had this situation happen with a boxing coach of mine and he wasn't allowed in a club because of that. I thought it was silly considering how many people have tattoos where I live but I could somewhat understand the logic there. Since artists such as Drake and Justin Bieber (lol) have tattoos now though maybe people will be more accepting of them.
