What is worst Drinking or Smoking Pot

Recommended Posts

I think that pot is worse.

I don't know about medically or morally, but it is against the law and I've seen lots of my friends get in endless amounts of trouble over it.

For that reason, the risk associated with pot is greater and I have never touched it.

Umm first off pot is NOT worse! you obviously dont know anything about the drug. Pot NEVER killed anyone. Im not saying its good for you or anything but it is way better then alcohol. I mean with alcohol you make the worse choices, you could get in a car and reck and either kill yourself or someone else. No one has ever "overdosed" from pot. But ALOT of people have died from alcohol poisioning or have passed out and threw up and choked. Weed just makes you sit back and chill alcohol starts things makes fights and nothing comes good from it. I know it is against the law but it really shouldnt be and i dont think it will be that way forever. There are so many reasons for pot to be legal, but im not gunna get into that. I just wanted to state my opinion.

i decided i needed to not care as much (relief anxiety) and smoked a hitter before the exam (2 day exam). I got the results back, and I PASSED IT>

I also smoked while in lawschool to take the edge of the anxiety. I helped me a lot. I graduated in the top half of my class.

But i don't smoke that much! The cancer thing may be true IF your smoke like 5 joints a day! And NOBODY does that cause its too expensive!

My pot intake is about 4 hitters a day.

2 hitters a day will keep the shrink away.

Glad to see that someone decided to wipe the dust off this thread.:)

In regards of which one is worse, alcohol or pot, they are equally as bad. If you do it excessively, it is extremely bad. However, IMO, if you have the willpower (I know that some don't) to be able to limit yourself to do either of the two socially, then I don't consider it bad. IMO, I believe that if you do either of the two, you should remain at home or a friends house and you should stay off the road. Both pot and alcohol impair your judgement and someone could easily get hurt.

I think Riddler nailed it..

I will say this though.. Alcohol is the only drug that I have been addicted to besides nicotine ( I dipped when I was younger ).

I used to go to my AA meetings drunk and did it for a year before i gave it up for good.. A powerful drug

Well thank you kind sir. i dipped for a short time. I liked it because it gave me a nice buzz.:o

Years and years ago, i got busted with pot and I was forced to go to an N/A meeting. It was entertaining to say the least.:)

Alcohol is WORSE! My bf's personality is extremely negatively affected by alcohol, he does & says things that he can't remember doing & he becomes completely irrational. I'm to the point that I want to break up with him because of it. He also smokes pot, but it seems to "level out" his personality. Although, I don't agree with either. They waste money also. Alcohol causes too many deaths, not only by car accidents, but by deteriorating the body. It ruins people's lives! I hate it & it's effects. I could go on & on with complaints about both... I wish alcohol would become illegal, but people would find a way to destroy themselves nevertheless...

For him, alcohol is worse. But overall, both will make you say or do things that you don't remember. Pot also deteriorates the body. I think that it is not right to say that one is worse the other in general. they are both hazardous. As for individuals, one will be worse than the other, depending on their personality. Then again, this is just my opinion.

Both can be bad...Both can be good

So, as far as people saying we should make alcohol illegal, we tried it, it didn't work.

Weed was NOT a gateway drug for me. I actually went backward on the drug scale. The first drug I tried (other than once with alcohol in middle school) was a super hard drug. Later I tried pot, and used that for a couple years, while refusing to drink. Now, I don't smoke pot, but drink regularly. I admit, I'm probably not the norm!!

I never had any problems with weed. I like it better than alcohol because it lacks the hangovers, the puking and the calories! I stopped smoking, cause it is illegal, and after my dealer got busted it wasn't worth the hassle to find a new connection or the risk of a criminal record.

On the other hand, I have seen someone get MESSED up on weed. My fiance's little brother, who lives in Michigan once walked home at midnight in December, 3 miles from a friends house with nothing on but his boxers. Then he had a 15 minute conversation with his mother fully nude (he was 18). They ended up admitting him to the hospital. The ONLY drug he was on was weed. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The doctors said that he had used so much pot on such a regular basis, and the bipolar disorder was induced by the constant switching of brain function. I thought this was BS, that no drug could induce a bipolar disorder. It's now 3 years later, and he hasn't touched any drugs since, and he's off the bipolar medication and hasn't had ANY problems. If it wasn't induced, how did it just go away?

All in all, when used in moderation and by that I mean just occassionaly instead of everyday, I think weed is better. Less violent weed users, and less hangovers.

I would be completely insane if not for weed. The world is a better, safer, saner place when I smoke pot. Works better than effing antidepressants and mood stabilizers. I don't have a chemical imbalance. I have "****ty childhood syndrome".
