What do you think of this article?? "Trapping" men into pregnancy

Recommended Posts

But why would he tell his child?

So that the child knows mommy is selfish and manipulative and does not care how her actions affect other people , as long as she gets hers.

How would you feel if you boyfriend slipped you a pill that made it so you were never able to have kids for the rest of your life? Its the same scenario, though I would imagine you will take this one a little more seriously.

Thus you have failed the hypocrisy test.

You can say I will be a terrible, horrible, idiot mom and thats fine you can have that opinion BUT it doesn't matter at all. YOU AREN'T GOD AND YOU CANT DO ANYTHING.

Of course I'm not God and I can't do anything. Why do you post here, though? I've suggested before that it seems you just want to annoy and bait people. You say almost nothing but outrageous things that I've never heard the like of out of anyone. Not one person supports your usual malarky. It's completely ridiculous.

Hey ImperfectionIsBeauty! You're 22. You have time. Chill out. You have as good a shot as any woman. Worry when you are 35. That's in 13 years. That's a lot of time to date men and even fail several times.

Just don't get stuck in relationships that are going nowhere. And one way to do this is to not cohabit before marriage (not saying that you shouldn't).

Men don't have forever either. Life is finite for everybody. They realistically have like an extra decade unless they are Paul McCartney. And many men want children.

But mostly, just relax, OK?

I have to say that IB's comments are SO far out of the "normal" spectrum that I've long suspected she/he was a troll.

But, then I think about my sister-in-law who also says things that make people go "WTF???".

I think some people just don't "get it" and never will. It's like when you have an argument with someone and no matter how much you think your point is plainly obvious, they just don't see it.

Except in IB's case....EVERYONE ELSE sees it but her.

Even if his opinion changes over time and he comes to accept the baby and thinks the baby is amazing, he's never going to think you did the right thing. He's always going to resent you for taking away his choices in his own life. ALWAYS.

And maybe, if there's any justice in the world, he'll turn out to be a great father and gain primary custody of the poor kid, whom he'll raise with the wonderful woman he chooses to be his wife. They'll have other children and your son or daughter will be raised in a safe, supportive, and nurturing family.

You might get visitation rights. If you can convince the judge that you're worthy.

That would just be totally wrong and unfair... Like I said I wouldn't so this but assuming it was me in that position why would they not marry me you know? It just seems unfair

You're specifically mean, you always have been mean and rude to me like from my first posts so do I listen to your advice...? No. You do give SOME good but mostly you're mean and rude to me so why should I care what you have to say? You may be older and have all this experience but when you're mean about it don't expect me to praise you. You can believe what I say or you don't and if you don't too bad. Also who cares if people don't agree with what I have to say so what? It's my opinion

If anyone is being mean or cruel, it's you. Except you don't see it...but you're talking about manipulating guys to have your baby.

Do you know how mean and cruel that is on SO MANY LEVELS? You're risking ruining the guy's life, the potential baby's life...not to mention your own life.

You seriously lack empathy...and I think you have a serious personality disorder. You just can't seem to see things from anyone's point of view but your own.

You're the very definition of selfish.

Can you not read? Did I not say in this post about 25 times that I am not trying to do this? I mean I am not doing this again, let me repeat I AM NOT TRICKING A GUY INTO GETTING ME PREGNANT. Ok?? I said I can understand why some women chose that and I can because who wants to be in a long teen relationship and after 4 years that person is still not fullying committing that's crap.

Think what you want about me but I'm not going to stop dating or trying to meet someone to marry and have a family with. So personality disorder or whatever but I'm not going to not try to find someone that would be stupid of me. I will for sure continue with therapy because I need it but beyond that there nothing I can do.

The kid wouldn't know that. Do you think the women in this story had their babies and when they were old enough to ask about their life they said "oh well mommy poked a hole in the condom" no that never happens. Whereas going to a sperm bank the kid is going to say "wheres my dad?" "oh i went to a sperm bank and picked out some sperm to make you" gross. no thanks.

You are right. Telling a kid his dad didn't want him is SEWWWW much better.

:laugh: Seriously? If a "normal" person finds out that they've been lied to, tricked and mislead in one of the most sensitive matters imaginable, you think they'd then want to MARRY the liar?

Honestly, in reality, with the type of guys you've had sex with so far it's most likely that you'd never see the guy again and your parents will end up having responsibility for the "cute" baby once it ****s in its diapers or cries all night a time or two.

But if you happened to pull this trick on a stand-up guy who really turns out to be father material and who wants to take responsibility for the child he created, even though it was through no choice of his own? I don't think you'd stand much of a chance there. If the truth were known and he could offer a stable home, I hope a judge would let him raise his kid if he wanted to do so.

Just because you're female and I imagine your mom and dad would take care of and provide for a kid you spawned does not supersede the rights of a good father. Shouldn't, anyway.

Really? So when you poke the holes or when you lie to him about BC and get preggers... then what?

You really think he would MARRY you?

No, he would say thanks but I didn't want one, Ill pay what I have to but I never wanted a kid with you.

Then how do you tell your child why he isn't with you?

Or what if the guy just books it and wants nothing to do with the child at all?

You have obviously thought this through, so tell me. What do you intend to tell them?

OK, I hear you. You are not tricking a guy into getting you pregnant. What about just having unprotected sex, though, which seems to be a "mistake" you tend to repeat with the random fellows you have sex with now and then?

Which is just a more passive-aggressive way of "tricking" a guy into impregnating you, and which you have talked about doing over and over again since you've been posting here.

Those guys, too, don't have to have anything to do with you if you end up preggers. AND, they have a claim on THEIR child, if they want it.

OK, but nobody needs to tell a kid that a parent didn't want them. The fact that the parent is nowhere to be found in the kid's life tells them that perfectly clearly. You know that. I hope.

I don't intend on ever being in this position. If I was I would say their dad sucks and that I am their mom and dad the end.

If a guy has unprotected sex with someone they know the risks of what could happen so too bad for them. I have never fully had unprotected sex, one time I was dating a guy (who had a kid and was a great dad to his son) and we didn't use condoms, I was on BC and I missed a pill AND TOLD HIM I MISSED IT and he still did it the next day with bought plan b (which was my idea), any other condomless sex i have always been on BC or taken plan b after.

I found the article, I read it, I thought "wow people do this and a lot of successful women in their 30s do it.. wow" I read about the women who dated men for 4 years or more and they weren't committing and I thought "wow those guys SUCK" like I said I can understand why they did it. It may have been wrong but I can understand the reasoning because no one wants to wake up being 35 in a relationship (or not even in one at all) with someone who can't commit and your eggs are drying the hell up. That sucks.

So why can't those women just do the nature thing and leave ?

It is too much time to have invested in someone to leave with nothing to show for it, I would think.
