What should I acquire first?

On either case, I did get some good news. Whether or not it will actually give me what I was looking for, I will soon find out.

But, apparently, I'm scheduled for an interview at Wal-Mart Thursday at 10:30 AM. I certainly hope I actually win this job since they was doing a mass hiring down here in Jacksonville.

I am a Recruiter for a Fortune 100 company and would be happy to give you some interview tips and pointers for Thursday. I truly admire your courage and hope things work out for you. Have you thought of applying at a temporary agency? It's a great way to get experience and many of the positions lead to full-time employment.

Actually, I hasn't but I did manage to get a position at Wal-Mart as an overnight cashier. Started July 3rd.

Currently getting used to my change of sleeping patterns since I work from 10 PM to 7 AM (hence why I am up at 5 AM right now after sleeping for 13 hours on my off-day) but, overall, I actually don't mind my new position right now. :)

On either case, I am curious nonetheless and will look into it just the same. Thanks for the heads-up.

honestly, your thread doesn't make a lot of sense.

Put your ducks in a row:

A. - focus on what you can do today to change your life - TODAY. Like paying your bills, getting a pension plan and ideally, a healthcare insurance, just in case.

To me, my focus would be on to get a job. Yeah, a nice suit is necessary, but not the key to all God's answers. Focus on preparing for the interview and getting your thoughts in order.

B. After you get your job, you will be able to pay your loans, to prioritize your expenses.

C. After getting enough security and experience, you can worry about volunteering, because you can afford it. If you risk getting evicted because you cannot pay rent, then volunteering wouldn't be so high on your list, would it?

Just get your priorities straight and start acting accordingly.
