Leegh
Are paid background checks accurate? For example, if a person is doing a background check on someone with a common name that lives in a major city, will it pull up multiple marriage/divorce, etc. records under that name? I suppose if a person had an unusual name, the background checks would be more accurate. The background checks do not ask for the person's social security number, and I would think that would be the most accurate way to do a background check. Does anyone have any experience with the paid background check sites? Thanks for any info.!
2sunny
From my experience - a site will give you choices if there are multiple names. Having some idea of useful past or present info can help...for example - what relative names might be or other cities/towns they've lived in. Most info is based off of utility and public records...say a phone bill or electricity in a persons name. So if a person hasn't been married or been into trouble with the law and hasn't rented and put utilities in their own name - it may not have as much info to work with. But most - will have some way of verifying info to be correct or not, such as age and what cities they've lived in. Some info can be trailed by public record through local court files online without paying a fee.
