Author tiki
My husband and I prayed *very hard* for this to go away. So the doc followed up with a pap smear in 3 months, which was a couple of weeks ago. I got the results and my pap smear was normal!!! No cancerous cells, no nothing. All I can say, is wow. Prayer worked. My husband was so happy. You could see it in his face, he couldn't believe it. I just wanted to share this great news with you guys.

blind_otter
I had cervical cancer in 2003 and I just found out I have abnormal cells yet again. Apparently I am destined to slowly have my cervix remove din bits and pieces.

Butterfly28
For Tiki & Blind Otter, This post is a relief for me. I am feared I might have cervical dysplasia or something like that. About 2 years ago, I was with someone for 2 years. To make a long story short, he cheated on me left right and centre, and I ended up with chlamydia. I didn't know what it was, and I had let it go for about 2 months partially maybe because of denial or simply because of the ignorance of "not knowing". The symptoms progressed over that time, and then I finally went to the dr's and got meds and repeat paps until it was cleared. Now with my current, steady and FAITHFUL boyfriend of 6 months (who by the way is a testicular cancer survivor) - sometimes when we have sex, I bleed. But it's not the BRIGHT RED type. Its the type that when he "cums" inside me and I go to the bathroom to "empty it out" (lol) that its like a pinkish vaginal discharge. ( HAD PREVIOUSLY SUBMITTED A POST LABELLED "PINKISH VAGINAL DISCHARGE") and it helped alot. (I just realized how gross that sounded, but I'm sure you all know what I am saying!) I am considering going to get this checked out because cervical cancer runs in my family. My cousin who is 26 had half of her cervix removed, and one of her ovaries. I had a tumor on my ovary when I was 13, and had it removed along with my appendix.
blind_otter
Yeah... I was supposed to get my biopsy on monday but I spaced out and thought the appointment was tuesday so I have to wait until next FRIDAY to go. And I have been bleeding for like a week, but I haven't had sex. But I won't even go into why I'm bleeding. I know why and it makes me feel pretty awful. I just try to pretend everything is ok. I'd rather not think about it. Good luck, BF28.

I was afraid of the outcome, but was only doing more damage by delaying it. Everything will be ok hun. That's what we're here for!! CYBER-COMPASSION! LOL

Suz76
Been there, done that. You won't have cancer. I had half my cervix "cheese sliced" off before I got married too. Funky coincidence I happen upon this post. ANyways, yeah, bled for 4 weeks. Yicky. Get it done before your wedding and don't worry about having children or any scar tissue. I got prego 6 months later
einahpets
you are lucky. some women do have problems with fertility afterwards. my gyno said that i will probably have to get my cervix stitched up and be on bedrest to keep the baby from falling out. my cervix is getting weak from all the surgeries.
