Mrlonelyone
Denial and delusion. I am sitting in a restaurant/café and in front of me are three young women. First of all none of them are "ugly" an I could see the right man appreciating each of them. They vary in weight from one who is tall, thin, an could really stand to gain about 10 lbs but is at the low end of healthy to one who could stand to loose about 80 to 100 lbs. Couldn't be more than 25 and already overweight scratch that obese. This woman is talking about how "extremely healthy" she is "extremely". Talking about how she does not eat restaurant apples, but will stuff a cinnamon bun and other bready sweets in her face. Really chewing with her mouth open as she talks. There is one who's with them who is in a more healthy range. What people mean by curvy. Why lie about this. For every pot there is more than one willing lid. My nephew who is really fit and lifts weights loves bigger women. He thinks they are more down to earth and mentally balanced. Can anyone tell me why people are so deceptive about this in OLD? Why would someone think they are entitled to a hottie with a chisled body when they themselves are clinically obese?
irc333
Yeah, I recall this woman on POF....must've been on the site for ages....was plump herself, and was explicitly describing how she just "llooooves" a guy with a flat, washboard tummy...of course you do....he has something you don't care to work on. Denial and delusion. I am sitting in a restaurant/café and in front of me are three young women. First of all none of them are "ugly" an I could see the right man appreciating each of them. Maleficent
I honnestly don't see why some who is 'clinically obeses' couldn't date someone who regularly goes to the gym -other than personal preference. Maybe people on here would have less difficulty with online dating if they stopped continuously putting a label on someone's appearance.
charlietheginger
I like chubby chicks...... Ive learned that the hotter looking the women the Larger the drama.... Hot looking women usually are pouty bitchy whine a lot Piss and moan if they dont get their way.... Chubby chicks more eazy going, fun to be around and usually Just all around easier to deal with..... Imo these skinny hot chicks are so used to using their Looks they use it to get things from men. Cant blame Her i mean lets face it homecomming queen ,cheerleader Attention whores are used to men chasing after them. The chubby chick is happy and appreciates a attractive man. Mean while miss hottie pants uses men up discards them And has no problem finding another sucker ....
The Silence
There isn't anything wrong with having preferences or two. Although I guess there has to be a level of realism. There are people who like bigger ladies though, so you never know. Do you actually know this woman? I don't understand why you are getting so worked up about it. =\

If you're overweight why disguise it as "curvy" in an online description of yourself? Because, there are men who like bigger women and if you're honest about it you'll find that guy. Same goes for men too. It's just OP used women in his example. If I'm wrong Mrlonelyone, please correct me...
Keenly
The only thing that bothers me about this is her lying to try and convince herself that she is healthy. Me, I am 5 11 and 200 lbs. Wide shoulders and just naturally, genetically muscular with little to no effort on the part of exercise and physical activity. However. Just because I am fit, does not mean I am healthy. I have a horrible diet and rarely leave the house. I'm not about to lie to myself and say I'm healthy.
Southern Cal Dude
You can prefer whatever you want, but someone who weighs the same as me at 5'4" isn't going to have a realistic chance with me or any other above average male. As a woman, you are judged on your physical appearance. If you're 5'4" 180, don't expect a male model.

I was just her talking about how healthy she is while she stuffs her face like a famine may come. Charlie, what you say about hotter women being lots of drama checks out with me. Heck the crazy-hot scale exist for a reason.

fortyninethousand322
I've had men trim ten years off their age telling themselves "I feel young, my friends say I look good". It's creepy when you are 20-30 something and meet a guy who is 40-60 that lied about his age. It's kind of a joke among women: "he wants a young thin blond stripper, but he's 49 with no hair, a gut and no money!". I'm pretty sure many women I've met think I lied about my age when I told them I'm 25 (I can easily pass for 40). Just because I look old, doesn't mean I am.

fortyninethousand322
Obese people are NOT healthy. Well, all things being equal. Plenty of thin people have dead livers, or lung cancer or SARS, or West Nile Virus, or some other horribly disgusting life threatening disease.

Plenty of thin people have dead livers, or lung cancer or SARS, or West Nile Virus, or some other horribly disgusting life threatening disease. They could have AIDS too. But obese people are unhealthy by default. That's not the case for those who are a normal weight.

sillyanswer
The most common way for women to get fat is via pregnancy. eating too much and exercising too little. Fixed that for you. (applies to men, too)
thefooloftheyear
They get "glamour shots" photos that can make an Orangutan look approachable.. I could never understand this..Why overstate your assets? Its always better to underpromise and overdeliver...That applies to just about ANYTHING in life..Dating included.. Just because I look old, doesn't mean I am. Yeah, I get a kick out of women who admittedly they said they lied about their age in their "stats" area....just so when younger men did searches, they'd likely turn up in a 25 year old male's search criteria. LOL They say,"I'm actually 45, but I work out, look young for my age, and I don't even get ID'ed when I go to a nightclub, LOL" There's your RED flag there....a 45 year old still hitting the nightclubs. Mariibabii
I've seen a man or two grossly misrepresent their weight too. Then their expectations. They will clearly be over weight in their pics, and sometimes grossly obese and demand "only H/W Proportionate women apply" or "I want someone who works out" or "Skinny girls only" You live in the drive through and you want someone who lives in the gym? And they feel that "Oh it's acceptable because I'm a man.." Puh-leeze! If plus sized women on OLD shouldn't expect models, then neither should these men. Double standards...smh
xxoo
I don't understand the complaints. If the complainers are in shape, well, just skip over those profiles. You should have your pick. If the complainers are out of shape, get in shape! Then you can skip over those profiles and have your pick. Why complain about what a woman who you don't even want is looking for in a mate?

Since there's a lid for every pot, you might as well be honest. Could be wrong, but I don't think this is a complaining thread...
Phantom888
Just because the girl is fat doesn't mean she can't desire a gorgeously fit man. As stated, there are plenty of good looking fit dudes who prefer chubby girls. Up until recently, I have only dated skinny girls. Married one for 12 years, and was in a serious relationship with a pilates/yoga instructor. Then dated a bunch of fashion models. Don't know why, but coincidentally, the skinny girls seem to be less fun. Then I dated a few curvy girls, and had great times with them. My current lady, the love of my life, is very curvy.....borderline chubby. She is so hot I can't even imagine a hotter girl. It doesn't mean I prefer chubby girls... I just prefer HOT girls. According to my lady, I have a really nice body, even though I don't work out or anything. I'm just naturally muscular, and I don't have a big belly like most 38 year old men. I think it's fantastic that I am paired up with a curvy/chubby girl. I love her sooooo much.
shexy
How do you know these women are lying on an OLD site? Can you read their minds while you sit and stare at them while they eat? If PEOPLE (not just women lie, so don't even make this a 'why do WOMEN' do this things) lie about their weight, others lie about about their height and their job and their marital status, etc..... Some people are honest, some people arent

Your story reminds me of "fat bottom girls" by queen Love that song to death! and yea, what if there was a super hot girl who had this thing for balding bearded guys? Should she go for some pretty-boy supermodel just because society expects her to? No, people should be able to go for what they like !
