Leegh
Sometimes when I meet a new guy and I know his last name, etc., I will do a free check on him on-line, google in his name and see what comes up. I don't really care, but is there any way he could find out if people were doing a search on him? I've heard where a couple of places say they can tell you who is looking for you. Does anyone have knowledge on this subject? Thanks in advance.
sillyanswer
I don't really care, but is there any way he could find out if people were doing a search on him? Potentially, yes, but unlikely in most cases. For example if you google him and you find his LinkedIn profile and you visit it to see what it says about him, if you also have a LinkedIn profile and you're logged in to it (I don't think you ever get logged out unless you expressly click a logout link with that site) then your profile might show up as one of the people who had visited his profile. That's just an example... there are other sites that act in the same way.
FitChick
You have to be careful if he has a common name. You might come up with totally bogus info. Google yourself and see what you come up with. It's what the guy would see. Correct anything that is wrong.
