Southern Cal Dude Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I guess you can consider her the female version of Mystery, David DeAngelo, Paul Janka or whatever other PUA I'm missing. I read up on her input and I was quite intrigued. Mistress of seduction Arden Leigh on how to land your perfect man | The Sun |Woman|Real Life I consider the male PUAs to be rather creepy individuals, but I actually found Arden Leigh to be very engaging, articulate, and more logical. She doesn't rely on stupid props, negs, disqualifying, DHVs, and whatever PUA lingo exists. Her input seems to emphasize only one thing: Confidence. Going after what you want, not following "rules", and being your own person.
MsSmurf Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Interesting article. I agree she didn't sound creepy like the male pua's often do. I like what she says about "talking like a man" and agree that men don't want to hear whining or about crappy past relationships. There's a time and a place for that and the first impression isn't it. I'm intrigued by her ideas on making a home ooze seduction and creating a burlesque character. I can see how both would be confidence boosting, but at the same time it seems like all that will get you is laid. That's fine if that's what you want, but for ladies seeking a relationship I'm not sure I'm seeing how that translates to long term. 4

Archgirl Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 It sounds like a re-hash of 1950's dogma on femininity: Be sexy, dress to be looked at, say things that don't upset him blah blah blah. Best advice on how to pick up men - be honest, brave and true to yourself - everyone has their own unique style and it's your uniqueness you want to be appreciated for. Have a strong sense of self and self-worth and act in ways which are consistent with this. All this projects to guys the valuable, interesting woman you are and the ones which like/fit with your style will be responsive. Mine is cheeky cocky rascal flirting wise, it works for me because it's very authentically me. What's yours? 7
Eternal Sunshine Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 This is crazy! She is teaching women how to get casual sex? She brags about the fact that she is a nymphomaniac? I am confused. I am yet to meet a woman that can't get casual sex. 5
MrCastle Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 The Two Rules Of Female PUA: #1: Own a vagina #2: See rule #1 4
Archgirl Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Hmm devils advocate: Well I guess one answer would be that most women simply don't approach men. They wait for who approaches them and hope they're cute. But you get hotter guys if you approach as well, like you're targeting who you're attracted to rather than passively waiting about. And I suppose everyone has to meet somewhere?
Trimmer Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 OK, I will fully admit this without defense, but my first thought in reading the OP was "Hmmm, I wonder if she's hot." So I checked out the links, and this is baaaaarely on-topic, but I couldn't help but wonder from the CBS Talk Philly video: does it seem like the right side of her face is a little droopy? And I wonder if she knows it, as she's positioned so that most of the camera work gets her left side... 1
IHateHypocrites Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 The Two Rules Of Female PUA: #1: Own a vagina #2: See rule #1 #2 would be "Don't be extremely repulsive" overall. 1
Trimmer Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 #2 would be "Don't be extremely repulsive" overall. But even then, there would be a rule #3: 3. For waivers to rule #2, see rule #1. 2
hppr Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 The Two Rules Of Female PUA: #1: Own a vagina #2: See rule #1 You forgot to add the two places where men are located; some of them are inside buildings and some of them are outside of them. So grab your vagina and go look in either of those two places. 3
hppr Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Well I guess one answer would be that most women simply don't approach men. They wait for who approaches them and hope they're cute. What happens is that after your early 20's most of the guys quit chasing like crazy and some women are left wondering what happened. So women have to learn how to do a bit of their own pursuing, which is what she is talking about. Male PUA stuff is more for the guys who never really figured out how to date when they were younger, the nerdy types or shy types who just want to go out and meet girls. 2

I didn't notice any face drooping, but I did notice that she isn't the hottest girl I've ever seen. I actually found that refreshing because she makes the point that you don't have to be the hottest girl to attract guys. Is she cute? Yes. Would she be voted hottest woman of all time? No. Is she surgically enhanced, overly tanned, overly made up to meet a sometimes societal standard of hot? No. There are plenty of women out there that fall into the realms of cute, average, or whatever that will find it a relief that she is more like them and having no trouble attracting men. She does say that looks matter, but its in a realistic way like her comment about not wearing sweatpants. She doesn't say get a boob job, starve yourself skinny, etc.
Trimmer Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Don't pay for female PUA material/classes, I have the secret right here. To be a successful female PUA all you need is.... ....a vagina. Kinda late with the joke as it was done earlier in the thread. (And better, to be honest...) 1
tbf Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 I don't care what gender PUA is used by. It's not rocket science that improving oneself can improve the type of people you attract. It's.so.simple. In the interview, she talks about the mistakes that men make where one is that they don't compliment enough. She talks about it in the general terms of what women want but a lot of compliments especially if they solely surround looks are a turn off, since it's reminiscent of a snow job, where you can tell genuine compliments and forced or disingenuous ones. Can't believe that anyone would pay money to get what's freely available on the Internet and obvious. 2

I mean. Create a Burlesque character and dance locally? For ****'s sake. 2
Star Gazer Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 All I know is she looks very trashy. I would never take advice on how to attract men from a woman whose boobs are down to her elbows, doesn't know how to apply eyeliner, and clearly doesn't own a brush.

She says either make eye contact or try to start a conversation. None of this is exactly news. Not sure why is she so popular.
Revolver Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) But Women have no problem getting sex. Male PUA is popular and in demand because its is about helping guys get laid Edited July 8, 2013 by Revolver

I don't have a problem with her look as per say - I like the bad pinup look. But as soon as she said 'drop 20 pounds' and 'I slept with movie stars' I though 'wow. What a sleaze...' 1
Author Southern Cal Dude Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 I don't have a problem with her look as per say - I like the bad pinup look. But as soon as she said 'drop 20 pounds' and 'I slept with movie stars' I though 'wow. What a sleaze...' I can't disagree that she's sleazy, but I think the difference between Arden Leigh and the male PUAs is that sex isn't the ultimate goal in female PUA, unlike male PUA. I don't agree with her sleeping around, but I do agree with her advice in general. In essence, she's saying that the average-slightly above average woman who is confident, approaches guys, and doesn't have those hang ups will be more successful than the model who sits and waits. In that respect, she is right.
Eternal Sunshine Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I googled her. She has a lot of nude photos. Her boobs are kind of weird :S 3
MsSmurf Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I googled her. She has a lot of nude photos. Her boobs are kind of weird :S Yeah they are odd. I admire her confidence in her appearance to share them with the world, but yeah.....weird looking lol.
tbf Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 One of the most annoying aspects of PUA, regardless of gender, is that the users tend to come across as needing to prove themselves. Fakirs.

I could use the extra cash lol
