sweetey147
Okay so i have a OBGYN doctors appointment tomorrow. I'm 18 and i'm on my parents insurance and i was just wondering if you get insurance statemtns back when you use your card for copay and do they tell on the statement what you went for and what you got done? i'm going to get on birthcontrol which i should have done a long time ago when i started having sex, but oh well i didn't. and on the statment does it tell what your prescribed to, if your prescribed? and everytime you get a refill does it show on the insurance statment? Thanks
Tony Posted October 22, 2004 Senior Moderators Share Posted October 22, 2004 Every insurance company is different but there's a way your doctor can code the insurance forms so your parents won't be able to figure out your personal business when they get their informational statement from the insurance company. It would be my guess that, unless you make some sort of arrangements, a general diagnosis, procedure or action will appear on the insurance statement. Isn't this something you can discuss with your mother? If not, you need to work on getting closer to her or she needs to work on being more open minded.
