UnicornGirl
i'm going to a concert of his tomorrow but have to leave early. then he's coming by for brunch sunday ... the one hour distance makes things awkward but i'm really excited ... i think i'm going to bring him this really spectacular small purple flower from a shop downtown here, and give it to him during intermission (i hope i get to stay til intermission! yikes!), since that's the only time i'll get to see him. he said he'd meet me at intermission since he couldn't meet beforehand. i'm excited, and trying to keep the negative imagery out of my head! it's definitely a kind of bold move on my part to give the flower, to come all the way to just see part of his concert -- but i think if i go for non-needy and confident and attractive, it'll work not just as a friendship move but as a slightly romantic effort, moving things in the right direction. Melui
Not entirely sure what the problem is. If its about giving the guy a flower...then there is nothing wrong with that..just make sure u don't tease him, and get his hopes up for nothing. Thats just cruel.
Rayne84
You go, girl! Just remember to play it cool more than persue. You want him to see more of what he's missing, and why he should hurry to get it back!
Author UnicornGirl
update -- he said i should take a later train back so we can hang out afterward. again, fighting the urge to flip out with joy that things are going so well -- i really, really hope i didn't sound overexcited on the phone -- but it's tough. thanks, rayne ... your story gave me real inspiration, and i am hoping to have similar situations to discuss with you sometime soon if i can play it cool tomorrow!
