Kitten
Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to spend Valentine's day when you alone. All of my friends are in serious relationships and One Year ago on Valentines Day is when my es-fiance proposed to me. I have a feeling i'm headed for a very depressing time. I don't really want to spend the whole day weeping into a pillow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I too will be alone and most likely weeping on V-Day! most people are normally like "hey its no big deal to be alone on valentines day" (i used to be one of those people) i just thought i would let you know you are not alone. i cannot say i can give ou advice but i hope maybe you'll know that someone cares. Dan
I am alone on V-day too, but why is that so depressing? It is a little depressing I admit, but Valentine's day to me is about more than just showing the one person you love your true intimate feelings (it seems like for a lot of people it isn't even this....it's about worrying that you got your girlfriend the 'right' gift). To me, Valentine's is about giving small reminders to friends and family too that you care for them. Plus, I find that giving to others puts me in a better, happy mood because I am not concentrating on what I am not GETTING. Finally, don't forget to show love to yourself by doing something nice (for me it was a nice dinner with a good glass of wine). I find that even not on Valentine's day, it's a good philosophy in life to always remember every once in awhile to reward yourself for no particular reason, because often you can't depend on others to do it for you.
