Talking to Girls, continuing a conversation.

Recommended Posts

Wutup guys,

I am a freshmen in highschool. Its pretty fun, I got friends, girls that are "friends", and alot of girls that a flirt with, or like me. Anyways, they only flaw I pretty much have, which is probably the most important is talking. Im a quiet guy, I listen more then I talk, but sometimes when I talk to a girl, she dont talk either, so we probably stay there for a while without talking and then its dull. How can I improve my ability to continue a conversation? Sometimes I contemplate about what to say, if I should say it or not, and all that, and then I dont say nothin at all.

How can I break this? Especially when there is a girl I dont know, or a girl I havent spoken to in a while, how should I start a conversation, get going, become friends or even get with her?

Lol, even worse, sometimes I even get in the habit of stuttering, lol. I dont even know why, maybe Im nervous? Any ideas?

I think that it is natural for some people to be nervous about talking to others, especially members of the opposite sex. The more that you have conversations with people, the more comfortable you will become in talking to people. I have never had trouble coming up with things to say, and tend to talk to strangers on a daily basis for quite a few minutes at a time. I speak what is on my mind, talk about current events, what I have been studying in college, or what I have read lately.

There are numerous things to discuss. Small talk is also good. Sometimes, even talking about how or why you are nervous, or have nothing to say, can be helpful. Taking small risks in conversation has gotten me very far in life. Instead of mulling over in your mind what to say, talk about what is interesting to you. Perhaps, you will find that others around you are interested in what you have to say, and are fanatic about the hobbies you are. :)
