Soxfaninfl
I'm going to make a speech before proposing to girlfriend and tell her how much she means to me and how much I love her. I was wondering do I kneel the whole time or do I kneel right before I say the words "will you marry me"? Also, should I say her whole name or just her first name. Which sounds better? I'm planning on doing it at the beach while the sun is going down after dinner when we take a walk. (She knows the proposal is coming. We went ring shopping together and she picked it out.) Any advice from the ladies would be appreciated.
Silly_Girl
If it were me I'd prefer as natural as poss. So not kneeling and first name only
MidwestUSA
I'd prefer one knee just when you get to the "will you..." part. Congrats!!
Fightsforlove
I've been proposed to twice in my life and both times, the guys messed up what they were doing. So I have to say that you need to practice what you are going to say over and over again. Even though you know she will say yes, you'll be nervous when you propose and likely forget everything you were going to say. That's what happened with both of the men who proposed to me, but they also didn't practice what they were going to say over and over again. Also, wait to kneel until the end. As soon as you kneel, a girl will be so excited about you proposing that she won't be able to concentrate on a word you are saying anymore. So wait to kneel until you are asking the question, so she hears the speech.
