Lauriesheartache
My boyfriend and I came to a mutual breakup about two weeks ago. We have been together three years and the red flags were there, I guess I ignored them. I have a 6 year old that he loves to death, we still love each other greatly. So this is the "issue" that broke us up. He lives an hour away I've been wanting to live together for about a year, he always had a reason not too but said we would someday. Well push came to shove and bottom line he won't!: he says he's very upset and he will probably regret this. But dosent want to move away from his friends and family and familar surroundings. I offered to move my son and I there but then hevwould have to be solely responsible for him while I was at work because my parents help me here. A complication for us might be his disability, he has a moderate case of cp effecting his gate and balance he gets around without hand canes (although he could benefit from them) he's to proud to use them. I wonder if this is really holding him in his comfort zone and might be the real reason he dosent want to move. Its so complicated but simple if he won't move in or let us we are deffently over ...why won't he just move in??
JDPT
It quiet honestly could be a combination of a few things. He may not want to be pulled out of his comfort zone due to his current disability or perhaps he has a very time committing when you try to solidify things with him by way of moving in together. I was in a similar situation where my subconscious kept screaming at me to not move forward with the relationship regardless of how much I thought I loved her and there was not a thing I would have not done for her. I guess I wasn't in it 100% as I thought I was. I can only suggest to have a heart to heart with him and see if you two are on the same page about the relationship specially since there is a child that should be priority at this point. I wish you the best.
