Lisa
Is it normal for a straight male with a professional career to get a nipple pierced? Isn't that a gay thing? Don't mean to offend anyone here, but was just looking for some opinions on this.
Quandary
No it's not necessarily a "gay" thing to do. I think it looks sexy! Enjoy it and have fun with it.
Tony T
It seems like it would be a gay thing to me. Frankly, a man who has ear rings, nose rings, tongue rings, belly button rings, ring around the collar, rings in his face, rings up his butt...it's all pretty queer. But I respect anybody's right to look queer and show their individuality.
Dominic
But I respect anybody's right to look queer and show their individuality. Tony, you are just showing a very prejudice attitude, and totally wrong. There is no such thing as 'looking queer'. Gay men and women don't look any different from anybody else, there is no dress code that shows them apart from straight people. Having niples pierced is not a gay thing to do, it is a human choice. I am a straight male and i have nipple, navel and genital piercings, and I wear make-up. I don't see this as a queer thing to do, only as something that I enjoy. And to the person who asked originally, if you're with this man, focus some attention on that nipple. It's good for him.

Spend ur life worrying about whats cool, gay, straight, right, wrong you'll do nothing. if it feels right, and ur hurting nobody go for it.......
Lisa
Tony- I agree with you, if my guy needs to pierce his nipple, then he might as well start wearing earings and cross dressing. I hate to admit it, but I do think he is gay. What straight guy is into that? Most straight guys I know are into football, beer and girls, and not pinning metal on their body to look good! Tony T
I have been on this planet many years and I can spot the homosexual look in many countries. There is a "queer look" and it doesn't necessarily have to do with pierced nipples. Now a straight man can sometimes have a queer look but a queer can seldom have a straight look. This is not a prejudice on my part but the culmination of years of experience in observing various people in various settings. While the queer look does not appeal to me, I have respect for it and usually ignore it. But I think that it is absolutely necessary, in the absence of anything else to set them apart, for homosexuals to have "the look" in order to attract others who have their same sexual preferences. I suppose they have a unique smell as well but I have not yet studied that aspect of it. Back to pierced nipples. Since nipples are generally covered and since most women would most likely NOT be attracted to these pierced nipples once their proposed sex partner had disrobed, I would think it would follow that mostly gay guys would pierce their nipples. Now, I'm sure straight guys who are pitifully drunk at the time would have it done as well but I don't think they would keep them once sober. I just don't think that most mature, desireable women, who are beyond the teeny bopper stage, would be attracted to a guy who had the appearance of a queer. No prejudice at all on my part. Just a statement of fact. Again, while I am purely heterosexual, I do not concern myself with the sex of persons who other men are attracted to. However, I do reserve the right to determine for my own self what looks queer to me and what doesn't.

Stargazer
Hi Lisa, Please try and understand that wanting to get a nipple pierced doesn't necessarily have anything at all to do with being straight or gay. The main reason why a straight guy would get it done is associations with sex and the sexual pleasure it provides. It's also got to do with attracting the female who likes that type of sexual pleasure, NO I'm not talking whips and chains here either, at all! I'm talking about pure sensual pleasure. Pleasure of the senses. Surely YOU like having your nipples teased. It tells me that this guy is in touch with his senses sexually and isn't someone with a 'wham bam thank you maam' attitude. Beyond that if he's got a great bod, it looks sexy as hell on a straight male. I've got a few (very) straight male friends with their nipples pierced, I know these guys really enjoy all aspects of sex, beyond the action of intercourse itself. Personally it's a turn on, I know I'm gonna have a lot of fun with a guy like this. I am a very straight female who is very in touch with sensual pleasure. I can't wait to get together with a guy who's got his TONGUE pierced. Woohoo! Maybe when you get a bit older, more experienced, you'll lose your own inhibitions with your own sexuality thus lose these stereotyped ideas you have.
Dominic
You're getting confused by stereotypes I think. You can't tell by looking if someone is queer or not, only if they are camp or not. Camp does not equal queer and vice versa.
Nic
are men with long hair gay? some are, some aren't. are men who wear a ring or a necklace gay? some are, some aren't. are men who streak their hair gay? some are, some aren't. are women who have short hair lesbians? some are, some aren't. are women who have tatoos lesbians? some are, some aren't. i could go on..... i know quite a few very straight males with nipple piercings. one of my very best male friends has his tongue pierced, and his nipple pierced. he is heterosexual and just loves women. another of my close male friends has his eyebrow pierced and his ears. i have my ears and my navel pierced and i am heterosexual. piercings are not indicative of sexuality. they are indicative of personal taste. normal is what that particular person is comfortable with. as a matter of fact, normal is when someone can just be themselves. so don't worry. it's not "a gay thing". it's a personal taste thing, just like what kind of clothes you like to wear etc. heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, asexuals, can all get pierced and it doesn't mean a thing. don't worry about his sexuality at all unless you have a crush on him - because if he is gay, there is no chance in hell. but if he isn't, enjoy the ring and accept it as a part of him and have fun with it. Is it normal for a straight male with a professional career to get a nipple pierced? Isn't that a gay thing? Don't mean to offend anyone here, but was just looking for some opinions on this.
