More than friends less than lovers

Recommended Posts

We started as friends with benefits. He's my closest friend ever. After graduation we moved in together. We share everything like a real couple. I love him but he said he doesnt want me as a girlfriend. But he's action doesnt say it. He's sweet to me and all but doesnt want to express his feelings in words

Now i moved to US for almost a year and still we chat r everyday. I miss him so much and i dont know how i can live without him.

I want to know if this will go somewhere or should i stop my long distance relationship to him

It won't go anywhere.

He has openly refused a relationship with you, knowing your feelings. He only cares about being FWBs. You can find someone who loves you. I'm sure he is far away...another country? Doubtful he will progress LD"R", to a in person relationship. He did not before you moved...will not now.

Find better.

I think you should believe what he said. I'm sure he has good reasons why he told you that he doesn't want you to be his girlfriend. It is his decision for himself, and as long as he doesn't ask you to be his girlfriend, then the decision to not have you as his girlfriend will remain for the rest of your lives. That's the way he wants to live his life. It's his choice. Respect it.

And when you decide to respect his decision, then maybe you could check what's going on with your life. If you want a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, then be open to the other people around you. You'll never know what you're missing for the vague relationship you have with your "not-so-long-ago-****ing- buddy" You might discover a great man who's very much willing to commit to you. Give yourself a better chance to be with somebody who's willing to offer what you want.

And maybe when your "used-to-be-****ing-buddy" comes to know that you're dating other guys, his feelings for you will be much clearer to him. It's either he'll start pursuing you for an exclusive, serious, romantic relationship, or he'll be happy you finally let go of him, or he'll be pissed off you finally had come to your senses.

I'll join the others and say that you decided FWB was OK with you. There's no point in getting attached to someone who said he doesn't want you as his girlfriend. You're simply not his kind of woman. He's fine having free sex from you and being friends with you.
