Boy doesn't care much for girl at a glance. Boy is really into girl-2 (the whole summer was focused on getting girl-2.) Girl-1 walks by boy with deep gaze, and boy is amazed. This happens on and off for days. In the hall, across the school, walking by, sitting down, with friends and without.

 

Boy goes to Homecoming with girl-2, but finds he wants to be with girl-1. Boy no longer cares for girl-2. T

 

he following monday, boy gives "secret admirer notes," he must write in purple, to girl-1. He feels girl-1 knows who it is, for whatever reason. And stops.

 

Then he writes a sweet lil poem for girl-1, but in the process he is seen by a distant friend-1 of girl-1 with a purple marker. The day after another distant friend-2 of girl-1 asks boy for a purple marker for a class project, just purple! Later the next day, girl-1 is frustrated practicing and her friend-2 tells her "come on purple marker believes in you," while boy is practicing nearby. Boy was going to approach girl-1 today but he had a chat with a distant-distant-almost non-existant friend-3 of girl-1 that said she liked somebody else. Boy is crushed, cause all the signs said interested, but the last one was a killer.

 

should boy continue to pursue? Or was girl and friends just messing with the boy by just keeping him wondering?

Dear OP,

 

Actually, you played yourself...not these girls...You took way too long to make your move and she either freaked out and lost interest or else just figured your not interested in her (during this time she had the opportunity to study you and decide your not that great after all and there is someone better)

 

don't feel too bad though, she might have decided this after getting to know you in person rather than having to watch from afar.
