femme
Over the past year or so, I've noticed my tummy getting bigger. The ironic part is I'm still considered underweight. (I'm 25. Height 2'2.5", weight is about a 100 lbs.) Even if I try, I can't seem to put on any weight except for on my tummy. My jeans seem tighter and tighter. There's a pair I don't even fit into anymore. My question to you O' wise men and women: how do I lose my love handles? p.s. I'm not pregnant.
Merin
A person can be underweight and still not be lean and tone. It isn't just a matter of eating right, you also need to excersize... don't "judge" yourself on what you weigh.. base it on how you feel, and look overall;) Crunches are a pretty effective way to tone your stomach! tokyo
Height 2'2.5" How much is this in meter?? You could try some exercies for your tummy.
sophia34
First and foremost, please go to a gynecologist for an exam, explaining exactly what you've said here. Unexplained weight gain around the middle can be a sign of serious illness, especially if you haven't gained weight overall. If you haven't already had this possibility checked out, please let us know that you've made an appointment. This is probably nothing, but it's also not something you want to leave to chance. Author femme
Actually, you guys are right. I haven't been exercising much lately. I used to regularly work out, so that probably is the reason. I've become so lazy! Merin, I look and feel healthy. However, once in a while I get told I need to put on some weight. kooky, that's around 1.6 metres. Sophia, you've got me worried. That thought didn't even cross my mind. I guess I should go to the doctor and get everything checked. I haven't been to the doctor in ages.
tokyo
Actually, it´s true, you should go to a doctor, I don´t exercise at all and I keep my weight usually. And when I gain weight it´s distributed to my thighs and belly. Height 2'2.5" - Sorry to dwell on this (I´m not American, but curious ), it´s not foot and inches, so what is it?? soccorsilly
2 Foot 2 and 1/2 inches is not an adult or even a child's height and if you are that tall and weigh 100 pounds, you are probably clinically obese! Now at 1.6 meters, you are 5'2" and 100# is fine. I would suggest that you get a physical--everyone should have one each year to be safe!
sophia34
I definitely don't want to worry you unnecessarily, femme! Like I said, it's probably nothing that a dedicated exercise program can't fix...But this is an excuse to go to the doctor and get that physical!
Author femme
Geez! Talk about a typo. I meant 5' 2.5". Thanks for your advice, everyone!
