LuckyShades
So I started a job a few months back and one of my coworkers caught my eye. She was cold to me initially and I despised her but eventually I started to find her 110% serious personality charming and she started to warm up to me once I showed I was one of the better employees. We started to pay each other more attention as time went on, and I'm sure other coworkers noticed. One night while discussing when we could leave our boss said both of us could leave at 9 if she took me on a date. We replied at the same time and she laughed and said no and I said ok(we joke a lot so it didn't seem awkward). One of our managers also said she called me adorable in a meeting, and our boss remarked to her that her face lights up when she talks to me. We would always have this flirty banter back and forth, and one night she said "me and M are gonna fight" then upon finding out she had to close, she immediately asked me to close with her. I replied that she just got done saying she'd fight me, and she said "well i can love you now, then when I'm done loving you we can fight later." her words, not mine lol. So I'm not one to mess around in the workplace, but she left a few days ago to go to school in the fall and she said there's a decent chance she might not come back to work, so I thought I might try to pursue something with this eventually. If not now, then later. But the kicker is: She has a boyfriend. I googled her name out of boredom and the all knowing beast led me to her twitter, where I saw a tweet about him. I was pretty surprised to find this out; it didn't make sense to me that after all the hours we'd spent working and talking, all the "what are you gonna do when you get home"'s and she never mentioned her boyfriend once. During the day we would be the only two workers for 6 hours so we talked a lot. I just thought it was funny how she never found a way to slip him into our convos. Even after our boss saying she should take me on a date, him telling her that she lights up while she talks to me etc., she never followed up with the appropriate "hey I have a boyfriend". So I dunno, what gives? Was I reading too much into a friendly girl? Why would someone act like that and never mention their boyfriend? Philosoraptor
I was pretty surprised to find this out; it didn't make sense to me that after all the hours we'd spent working and talking, all the "what are you gonna do when you get home"'s and she never mentioned her boyfriend once. Maybe she wasn't planning on doing him when she got home? So I dunno, what gives? Was I reading too much into a friendly girl? Why would someone act like that and never mention their boyfriend? Really though, if you are sure that account belongs to her you shouldn't get involved. If you were in his shoes you wouldn't want another man to interfere with your relationship. On the other side if she is showing interest, if this is how she is while in a relationship with someone else who says she wouldn't do the same with you?
ITw
Are you sure that's even her account?

Waynester
Love the "I Googled her name out of boredom" statement.. Boredom.. or deliberately wanted to find out as much information as possible about her?! Perhaps the next step calls for some good old fashioned 'stalking' to ascertain the truth!
