How are you doing?

Good days and bad. Learning to be a little selfish and work on me for a change!! My kids need a happy, strong Dad!! I intend on being that man!!

She's at that age where she's starting to make completely selfish decisions because, it's her turn to be happy, dammit! And it really doesn't matter to her who she hurts in the process as long as she's happy.

Seen it with a bunch of women in their mid 40's to early 50's.

Get to stepping. You've already been seperated a long time, as a child that was in the same situation, it's always the beginning that's the hardest but they're starting to get used to the change now. Yes, ideally they'd probably like you to get back together, but I don't think it's going to be devastating for them if you don't, at this point.

My parents seperated for a year, basically the same situation as this. They got back together for about 5 or 6 years after that, but in the end my mom ended having a long standing affair, and eventually leaving again to "be happy". And told everyone we should all be happy for her that she's finally starting to be happy (which is total BS, she's just as miserable as ever but felt she needed a new man to get herself out of her rut that she was in). All she does now is complain about her second husband pretty much constantly, then in the same breath will say how happy she is with this guy.
