Any chance that we get back together?

Recommended Posts

It will try to make this short. I will spare so details but you can ask me further explanations.

It all started when 16 days ago my (now) ex-girlfriend and her sister went into a HUGE argument. Her sister never liked me and thought that our relationship was something to not be taken seriously. Anyway, this argument went on for 3 hours! In which her sister kept yelling at her and telling her bad things about me. Later that day, my ex (lets call her Mary) called me to say that she went into an argument with her sister and that she was emotionally destroyed. She didn't wanted to see me. The day after Mary and I met at the park. She began to tell me every horrible thing that her sister told her about me and our relationship. She then told me that her vision of me was now different, and that she was unsure of how much she loved me. She also didn't wanted to go into another argument with her sister who she is very very close with. I tried to reason her a bit telling her to not listen to her sister and that everything she told her was a sort of brainwash. Mary said that she though about everything that was said during the argument and something were true. I tried to convince her to rethink about all that. We spent te rest of the evening in each other arms and kissed me.

The day after I waited for her after work, she wasn't expecting me. The looked very distant and didn't even wanted to touch me. I told her once again how much the meant to me and she just started crying saying ''I'm sorry''.

The next day I went to her house to talk again. She said she didn't wanted to be with me anymore, but in my head I was just trying to get her back. While I was talking I saw her looking at me like she was in love and told me she was giving me a month ''to convince her''.

The next day I returned at her place. We had a little talk and told me she didn't wanted to talk about us. She was very distant. At that point she never said to me ''You and me it's over''. I realised that I could talk all I wanted, she seemed so cold, that I concluded that it was all pointless. So I told her to OFFICIALY tell me that we were over. As I waited for the painful moment, she started cring saying that she couldn't do it. She kissed me, and we had sex. We spent the rest of the day together and she seemed happy. I though that we were fine.

The next day I texted her, she seemed friendly, but not like when we were lovers. So I asked her just to be sure, If we were back together. She responded that we were in a break, and that she was giving us a second chance. I told her that we should stop texting each other for the break then. She said she needed time alone. And began to panic because I didn't want to lose her. LAter that night I got in an argument with her about her sister. When we hung up we were both very mad at each other.

The next day I texted her and told me she was mad at me, when I asked if she hated me she said ''No don't be silly''.

A couple of days later she found a letter I had written for her before her huge fight with her sister. I wrote about how much I loved her, she texted me to said that she cried when she read it.

Another couple of day latter I went to see her at her place. We talked about how much we missed each other and we began to kiss and had sex again. Later that day we got into another argument. It was stupid it was an overreaction from me. I felt so stressed with the idea of losing her. She told me that she feared for our future.

I kept insisting to meet her, but she kept telling me that she had no time for me

On week later (yesterday) we met. She told me that she was fed up. That she felt like she was drowning. And wanted to end all this. She was rigth, I didn't gave her the sapce she was asking for, and I regret it. She looked very mad and told me it was over. She said she needed to take some thing she left at my place. She was very very mad. And told her that she could only get everything back if she gave me a last hug, she reluctantly did, but soon began to cry. We finally got a my place, and told her one last time, how i felt about her. She gave me a hug that lasted for minutes, she said ''I love you'' and kissed me passionately. She began to cry and told me '' Its over''. She left and I followed her to her car. I told her to take care and that I still loved her. We kissed a last time and I left. Now it's officialy over.

I love her so much, and I'm wondering if is there any chance that she will come back to me. The problem is, that she never do the first step. I don't know what to think. I want her back. Is there any chance for that to happen?

Thanks

Wow...that sister...the power she seems to have...just wow! A lot of relationships end like this. Someone gets in their head and convinces them that their relationship is bad. Idk what to say. You have to get the sis out of the pic, get sis to like you or your ex needs to grow a pair and think for herself.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. She might not be emotionally strong enough to deal with a more alpha sibling (only you and your girl know how the relationship really is!), so if say you get back together and this continues to be an issue you should start looking elsewhere. Best of luck, hope everything works out for the best

I think you need to give her some space, period. Seems like you've been chasing her excessively! I know it can feel like having a panic attack (the thought of losing the person you love) but you have to focus on something else, get a hobby. Maybe after you've felt emotionally stable you can contact her again, and ask her how she's doing and take things slowly? Did you guys ever talk about the what was wrong with the relationship?

Good luck...

Thanks for replying guys.

I tried to make thing right with her sister. I called her and she refused to meet me. I was so frustated and thats why I got in an argument with my ex over her sister.

Whenever I asked my ex if I did anything bad in our relationship, she just kept saying ''No, you always treated me like a princess''

After alot of thought, I think I spent too much time with her. We saw each other every day even if we didn't live together (we are both 21 BTW). During our little break she keep telling me to ''do my thing'' and ''take some time for me''. Maybe I was too focused on her and she probably though that she couln'd give me as much attention as I gave her.

I'm worried because I know that she won't do the first step if she ever wants me back. But she is the one who broke up with me, she must initiate the contact, at least that's what I think. I was planning on giving her at least 2 weeks of NC.
