random_guy
pardon my odd post language anyhow I've had at least to voices in my head for an eternity, though it's not a severe thing, ie: I identify as one, and the other I see as an advisor. Thing is, the adviser voice has been getting progressively more eccentric. Today I was taking a test and whenever I read answer choices, he'd chime in in a cartman (south park) voice and spew profanities after reading the option. I found this hilarious, which is the concerning bit. That means I didn't expect it, which means that my second voice is growing more independent from my first. My dreams have also been getting weirder. I often dream as fictional people, seeing myself from the third person and interacting with my separated self. I have also been finding much different things funny than I used to, and have been visualizing more. for those of you who believe in rarer religious doctrines, I am a replacement kid for a stillborn, if you think that's related. Also, my parents divorced when I was 9 or so, even though I was bothered very little, especially when compared to my 13 and 17 year old siblings who took it fairly hardly. Also, I've been fatigued for almost a month now, inescapably. any ideas?
It-is-what-it-is.
Go see a doctor.. ER preferably.
Author random_guy
Could you perhaps be a hair more specific as to why?
It-is-what-it-is.
Well anytime someone hears voices, even if it is Cartman, you could be having a medical issue. Your dreams getting weirder is also a sign of disturbed sleep, which could explain your fatigue. Could be something serious, or just, nope it probably is something medical. Hence ER. Soon
Author random_guy
But that's not really that big of a problem is it? The fatigue bothers me more than my odd appearance of laughing randomly in public. In fairness, however, I'm eccentric enough that people typically just ask what I was laughing about, and usually I tell them straight up

Soon What would the ER do, poke a knife about my brain and magically fix everything? I like my second voice anyway, it's the only part of me that isn't lazy. It's the voice that says to keep going, to do that assignment, etc
It-is-what-it-is.
Well I am not a physician, and I have never met you, but I would assume they might do a cat scan to rule out stroke, or tumor. Some blood tests to check for hormonal or chemical imbalance, or poison. Knives in the brain as usually contraindicated.
Author random_guy
but few if any of those things happen at an ER
beautifulearth83
Well, if you say that you enjoy this voice to an extent, then I assume you're somehow welcoming it and creating it. It's not like there isn't anything you can do about it. I've heard the chattering in my head before, and I certainly, probably could have made an effort to make it stronger, but I get things like songs in my head, and sometimes, unfortunately, the voices of others. If you're concerned, which is why I think you posted, then you should make efforts to change things for the better. If you want to be eccentric, laugh in public and listen to cartoon characters, I'm sure you could make that happen. If it is something out of control, that causes you distress and highly interferes with your life, then seek help. But until then, if you're not hurting anybody, or feel you're at risk of doing so, then do what you'd like, it's your brain. And you can't blame people for being concerned, nor can you expect them to be entertained. Life is hard enough, that people don't even have room to consider just being open to schitzo-like behavior.
